The covers were bad this year. The December is the best, with July and November being okay. Others simply bland or amateurish.

Kati Nescher's cover from October knocks the rest out. The composition, text placement, colours.. everything, I love. I made a purchase based on the cover, alone. I often get the issue out from the bookcase just to have another stare.

I don't know if this has been mentioned but Vogue Germany has uploaded their entire cover archive to their site with every cover from 1979 in HQ ... it's like a little online magazine heaven ....

This year I've only bought Joan's, Miley's, Claudia's and Diane's. I'm still on the fence with Kati's. I think most people will at least like a few of their covers, but not all.

There's something about their covers that always seems off to me. The fonts seems so amateur. They look very 80's in a way like they would go perfectly with an ugly Christmas sweater.

I only like Malgosia's, Rosie's, Natasha's and Nadja's. Still, the text overload on all covers is bothering me.

Luigi and Iango are great for this magazine.

^Agreed about the text overload. Seeing them all in one post I'm realizing that Vogue Deutsch's covers are starting to look more and more like the cluttered European Glamour covers. I'm also realizing the horrible, dark make-up on a lot of the covers. Weird. I only loved Vanessa's cover this year.

^Oddly enough the mass of text never concerns me with Vogue Germany, I kind of like how they often place the cover lines over the masthead just how the magazine did during the 70s and 80s. It especially worked on Anja's cover for August which I loved.

I regret not getting a copy of the April issue with Claudia Schiffer, loved Rosie's cover shot and I bought Natasha Poly's just because.. it's Natasha! I didn't think much of Nadja Auermann's cover and I was surprised at how much negativity Kati Nescher's cover received.
