A whole lot of weak covers by Vogue Germany, this year! They've produced some really unremarkable covers for 2018 and it's even more apparent seeing them side by side.

The worst are by far those four covers from February, with the cover images looking more like mugshots as opposed to covers for a high-fashion magazine. Those Luigi & Iango covers are the strongest... especially the one with Mayowa Nicholas (and even Vittoria Ceretti's now I'm looking at it again here). I was also fond of the cover with Luna Bijl in the blue sweater too.

What a year of awful covers and equally awful art direction. Vogue Germany was never the most prestigious edition, or had the best covers (they're slightly above Dutch Vogue), but this is a new low.
I now think Gigi, Birgit, Mayowa, Cittoria, Fran and the first Edita were ok. Not perfect, but passable. Anna (obviously), Irina, Luna and Anja had the worst.

It's time for Arp to try a new font type and stick with it. This monthly change looks scattered, and way too many multi covers, which also means that most girls got two covers (Anna/Anja.)

Celebrating 40 years by producing a series of issues which make every single cover of the preceding 39 years seem like monthly masterpieces in comparison to most of this.

Thanks for reminding me of Adwoa’s cover again. I needed a good giggle.

Absolutely all over the place. There are almost always much more interesting editorial images in the issue than the cover image itself.

Not me scrolling down finding out Irina duplicating her own April 2018 cover lol
