Vogue Greece January/February 2021 : Taylor Hill, Diane Kruger & Twiggy

But my question now would be: someone of her stature and her iconic status as an ICON in fashion, didn't she have cover approval at her stage of her career or life??? And I soooooooooo remember her in ANTM cycle 6 when she said to one of the girls: ''I don't think you could have a cover shot and not look at the camera.'':lol::lol: But yeah it's a shame they didn't go with a much better pic worthy of being on the front F*** cover of VOGUE :judge:.

Twiggy may have broke new grounds back in the day and she seems like a lovely person, but that’s just it: She’s from back in the day. Her face is not a brand and highly profitable these days— nor does she possess nearly anywhere remotely close to the pull of someone like Gisele to be able to have cover approval.

Seems like Vogue Greece made the effort for that Testino for Madonna’s Ray Of Light album cover composition. Unfortunately, this Nick person is not Testino and the AD isn’t Kevin Reagan. Effort appreciated at least— unlike so many Vogues… and at least there’s not 6 covers.

Not sure if I would refer to her as just someone that appeared on covers, her name still has pleny of pull in the industry being an icon and originator. There's a point you reach in your career where just being associated with your name puts a brand on some exclusive list. That said I think it would have made a more powerful impact if they just shot her solo with a more exciting cover and editorial.

Well, there was that scene in AbFab of course. the one where Eddie calls her gay assistant and said 'look, there's Twiggy!', and his expression was 'Who!?!'. LOL

But you're right, Phuel knows who she is and should put some respect on her name! She very recently appeared in a Kurt Geiger campaign so her name does have pull.

They did Twiggy dirty. I laughed.
