Vogue Greece May 2019 : Sasha Pivovarova by Alique

The first cover is why I like Sasha... It’s perfect... as cool as the second cover looks, it is just too unappealing... I can’t think of anyone who would want to look like that.

Vogue Greece is killing it, seriously, they were able to distance themselves from the indie vibe of the new wave of Vogues.

I had high expectations but I'm not really a fan of either. In the first cover she almost looks unrecognisable.

In the first cover she looks like Nadine Strittmatter. I hate the second cover, she is sucking her cheeks and when she opens her mouth looks even worse.

Stunning! Fine, fresh, fierce! Take us back to 2005!

OMG this magazine is on sale like a newspaper supplement.

Its actually a brilliant idea if the goal is to widen the reach of the magazine. It introduces the magazine to more casual readers (potential subscribers) and also boosts sales.

Also, its a good one time deal thing, but not on a monthly basis.

However it all depens on the kind of newsgpaper though. If its a formidable paper, then good. If its the tabloid type, yikes.

QUESTION: how big is this magazine in real life (dimensions wise). It looks huge / towering in photos

Sasha looks so beautiful here. Completely different than May Vogue China.
I like that they did two radically different looks with her on these covers.
The first so different than the second. Much more interesting than multiply covers from other editions, where it's the same look but different pictures.
Hope they keep this up, they could become real style leaders.

The newspaper it comes with, Kathimerini, is definitely not a tabloid. It's a "serious" newspaper, neo-liberal, centrist/right-lite so yeah not my cup of tea at all. At least the magazine is sold separately on newsstands, though it is published by the same media company, not ideal for those who don't want to put more money in their pockets.

Great for their second issue. Hopefully they continue to keep it up.

Not as strong and impactful as the relaunch cover with Bella but certainly feels like a step in the right direction for the magazine. As much as I love the boldness of the second cover (very Hans Feurer), I think the first is my favourite. The two covers have both positive and negative attributes!

Not a fan of Sasha. Not a fan of covers. Happy for Alique.

I don't mind the second cover but its necessity is questionable when the first cover is gorgeous and enough the way it is.

First cover is beautiful but we know why (photoshop)
2nd cover would have been better without the sunglasses. Sasha's eyes are such a beautiful color and they could have been the focal point

I don't get the hype about first cover — it looks like a catalogue photo. But the second one is strong and minimalistic.
