Vogue Italia April 2006 : Coco Rocha by Steven Meisel

Oh, it's a receding chin alright, if I ever saw one. Enhanced by the upturned angle of the nose.

Yeah, she probably has a septum problem as well, but keeping the mouth open makes her face appear longer (which it really needs) plus it enhances her cheekbones (also needed).

To clarify: This is a butt ugly cover and the only good thing that could, conceivably, come from this, is that some people may feel better about themselves. This isn't directed to anyone here, just a general hypothesis I have about why ugly people sometimes end up on mag covers. Like Renée Zellweger, for instance, I mean, it's just THAT ugly to me :) But clearly other people like it for other reasons than the one I feel is the only possible reason, so there you go :P
cover is lovely not awful but nice^_^
the size of chin don`t depend from nose angle -)
the size difined by the recending from under lower lip

They made her look exactly like Karen Elson! I thought it was her at first. They also dressed her up and made her up in the ed the same way they did Karen in the Underworld ed.

Indeed! I was confused, too.

Another disappointing cover... Coco looks extremely awful (and I hate her)
Karen Elson suits much better.

It may seem strange, but actually the relative size of every item in your face depends on the relative size of everything else in the face. That's probably the first lesson you learn if you want to be a stylist or make-up artist, I imagine. For instance, a large forhead makes the eyes appear smaller than they could look --> get bangs, etc.

About the receding part: That profile pic you posted makes it clearer than ever. Her chin is half-way back at her neck. How's that for receding?

The Boy George pic kind of makes me like her face a bit more, though. Her eyes got some definition and, well, I've got a bit of a soft spot for Boy George ;)

I like the cover, but Coco needs to close her mouth  I have yet to see a picture of her with her mouth shut!
I agree  Her mouth looks strange here ... but anyway, nice cover indeed! ;)

okay the chin is resending conserning nose but not concerning other face parts
On your logic every girl with upturned nose will have recending chin cause of course with this `lil nose every chin will be recending^_^

when you are on the cover, you can talk

i don't know how you people rant and rave.
it's fashion Kids - NOT heart surgery.
the cover is a beautiful shot of a beautiful model by Meisel.
and until you're on the cover of Italian Vogue I'd hold my tongue
with all this petty talk... it's fashion.
The color, styling (by e.enninful), and feel are beautiful.

It could've been beautiful if they'd used a different model. I don't think I'll live long enough to see a nice cover starring Coco Rocha.

^truebluefashion, I agree with you, but at the same time, I feel that we have a right to express our opinions here, because we are the audience for this magazine. I definitely purchase it loyally every month, and if I'm going to spend money on it, I might as well say something honest about it! ;)

Ultimately, this is an open forum isn't it? :flower:

agreed
discussion it`s not an expression of agression which everyone is so affraid of here^_^

 When I googled Coco's name this site came up! Love it here!
I think the cover is FIERCE! I agree that the colors are great, but maybe a little heavy handed with the make-up. AND it's still AMAZING..
It's great tp see a "non-tradtional" beauty being used, leave it to Meisel!

Nope. She's got a receding chin compared to every single major item in her face, and the nose makes it worse. Even with a more ordinary nose the chin would be receding/underdeveloped. Anyway :flower:

What is so bad about the cover? I really love it!

And for discussion on Coco Rocha's looks etc, please refer yourself to the Coco Rocha thread in Supporting Cast... Thank you :flower:
