I love how Franca responds to criticisms on her magazine. The beauty editorial is really gorgeous!

(...) wonder if it's because we've been so long deprived of the sight of hearty bodies in fashion magazines that we'll now accept any photoshopped shadow as being representative of strength, any contortion as a sign of curves.

People have no idea how much I would welcome the return of stronger physiques in modelling, and for me, Karlie is a sensation, a fantastic model. But this pastiche? Don't serve me tofu and tell me it's steak.

Sum up this beauty manifeste by Meisel ...
I find it, in some ways, pretty offensive...
And in some other ways, I find myself offensive to Etoiles by saying this ...

But sincerely it is a Meisel editorial to put in the "Classic" files. No theatre, but the one of the body+fashion on a white canvas.

I don't believe that those who've responded negatively have done so out of pure spite, or because they hate Karlie or because they take pleasure in dissing magazines. Good covers get the credit they rightly deserve.
