Vogue Italia January 2008 : Guinevere van Seenus by Steven Meisel

All of the editorials in this issue are straight from a fairy tale, and I love that! :crush:

Eh, I was really disappointed with Meisel's edit. All of that anticipation built up and it turns out to be a small edit with Guinevere. Not that I have anything against her ,but I was wanting more.I've learned my lesson to not get my hopes up too high for Vogue Italia ,and not to listen to Wayne from theimagist.com anymore.

I'm not saying it was a bad edit by the way, on the contrary it was a vibrantly dreamy edit.Just not what I was expecting at all.

Seems like a mediocre way to begin the year, especially following the January 2007 issue. Oh well, there's always January 2009.

:o-_- Actually there are only two eds available-for fashion. Fortunately both are very great to me though it's numerically insufficient..

With so many new girls having work in Vogue Italia coming up and Masha is the only new girl featured in January, the February issue could have a "new girl" theme or something. :) I'm looking forward to that ..

I am also slightly interested in seing the unidentified girl in the beauty ed. :)

I never mind the model only if the cover and the ed are nice.
The cover is lovely to me, as well as the ed. I like them as the very start of a new year of Vogue Italia.

ALice Gibb and Olga form a good pair.

I like Masha's editorial I just don't like the fact that Masha's was the one chosen for the editorial  I really hate the model choices in this issue, Masha, Alice and Olga are three models I really dislike and although Guinevire is a favourite of mine I would have prefered a new face to get the cover.

There's still hope since there is another girl in the beauty ed....I wonder who it is :magic:

I don't know where people see the fairy tale in Guinevre's editorial....
You'll have to explain...
I see this editorial as one of the most desperate for a long time... yes the colours are cool... but the way I interpret the story isn't, for sure....
or maybe this is me who's being desperate....
i don't know...
or maybe you get the "fairy tale" inspiration because this is a lingerie styling theme, right?

to me only Tim Walker is fairy-talish....
