Vogue Italia January 2011 : Freja Beha Erichsen & Arizona Muse by Steven Meisel

This cover is dropdead gorgeous. What a great way to start the year, Vogue Italia. I just love everything about it :crush:. I am definitely buying this, no matter what.

Absolutely gorgeous! So classic! I'm so happy that Freja got another cover! :)

Wow, I wish I knew Meisel's intention since the chair is not at all reasonable.
And omg Ann Ward will be in this issue wont she ? Can't wait

^No.. Ann will be in February and May, I believe :)

Absolutely love this, amazing! It probably is Freja & Arizona. ^_^ Great start for 2011.!

Arizona is just killing it lately. Love the retro couture theme but um, is that Lori Goldstein stitching (?)?

Love it, specially the colors!

BTW: IMO is Meghan & Arizona

I thought for a second I saw Olga Sherer and got so excited! But then I realised it's Arizona, who is really surprising me. And I also think the other girl is Freja.

Amazing cover, really. Very classic and can't wait to see it bigger.

What a complex cover. The dress on Arizona certainly had me thinking more of YSL than of Chanel, I have to say. The beautiful Art Nouveau green...again, like at the Chanel show. And those numbers they're holding up....29 and 85. Hmm.

Do you really think it's complex ?
I think, indeed, the tv is useless ...

But that's just a fitting session in some studio, probably for a Couture cliente (the woman crossing legs, we don't see) ...

And I believe the numbers are 79 and 83 ...
:lol::p
but who cares anyway ?

The thing that makes me furious is : where the hell is it shot ? I cannot recognize the Couture fitting room ...

Would have been perfect without the frame. I'm surprised as Mr. Templer finds time for freelance jobs in addition to working full time for Interview magazine!

Amazing cover, Meisel did again

Hell so much going on here today I almost missed this thread, but what a lovely composition, and Freja looking all chic and haughty and Arizona looking retro and glamorous. Love the framing effect and a nice start to the year for this mag with Meisel.

Well, it's pretty obvious this is pretty complex for a cover image. Just the sheer number of items on the cover. Someone actually described the image to me before I saw it and my first reaction was that it sounded rather messy for a cover. So when I said complex I didn't really mean intellectually challenging, necessarily.

Well, I guess numbers could mean something if you want to apply symbolism. Definitely 79, not sure if it's 83 or 85.

great image used on the cover... arizona looks amazing!

oh yeah visually complex for a cover ...
sorry. see what you mean.
and as Pedro wrote, I think without the frame it would be better ...

the numbers have no meaning ... Once upon a time, when the models walked on the catwalk they hold numbers so the cliente could figure out which model they wanted. and a woman was describing the outfit at the same time ...
Freja, number 85 wears blablabla ...

JPG did a Couture show like that a while ago ...

I know it's the number of the model. Nonetheless, I suppose it's possible for double meanings.

Gorgeous cover. That's so beautiful and elegant. I hope the eds will be as good as the cover and they'll make me want to get this issue this time.
