Vogue Italia January 2012 : Caroline, Daria & Paula by Steven Meisel

I haven't seen such a great ed as The Power of Love is in quite some time, it's such a beautiful story. Guess I'm buying this issue

Oh Querelle she makes my heart skip a beat:woot:. Everything about this edit is perfection, the make up,styling, photography:heart:. So happy she made such an awesome comeback she deserves it! And though I was planning on getting this issue before after seeing this I need it asap:P

The Power Of Love is absolutely divine. Querelle's face in each shot is just mesmerizing to look at. She nailed that Harley Quinn-esque make-up to perfection.

This issue looks surprisingly delightful on newsstands, I have no complaints and the idea of putting the supplement basically within the magazine itself with 3D glasses attached works better. It should have happened sooner, the editorial content is really inspiring and sets the standard already for this year. Just my opinion.

As for Natasha Poly, I have been quite critical about her, especially during the last part of last year as her work for Vogue Russia, I-D etc looked poor to me. She looks stunning though in the main editorial, those cheekbones just do it. Has she ever had a VI cover? Meisel please make this happen soon!

They have been selling it like that in the US for at least 2 years now. I rarely by VI because it is so expensive, but they have had at least 3 magazines in one package for quite a while now.

The supplement shouldn't have been placed inside the actual magazine. Even with mundane images from Style's website, I prefer the section in the form of a separate book. Not even 3D glasses can escalate excitement. Plus, I'm a freak for international magazines being imported with shrink-wrapped, to preserve the condition.

Aside from that, I'm astonished at how enjoyable and amusing the main edit is, more than the digital images suggest. The extras have such demanding presence, as I mentioned earlier. Intriguing concept, I'll be admiring this for sometime.

Abracadabra, to answer your question, Natasha's never had the cover of Vogue Italia.

It was always handy for reference purposes to have a stand-alone supplement with the January and July issues, so I'm disappointed that they haven't produced one for this issue. As for 3D, I have eyes, imagination and an internet connection, so I don't need a paper magazine to do a rubbish job of providing what a movie file can effortlessly do online. I'm happy to scrutinise a printed image for its detail, and I'm happy to watch videos online for the mood and movement.

And I buy fashion magazines to experience a glamorous moment where I indulge my imagination, so I don't really want to be wearing paper spectacles that render me cross-eyed, which I'll then need to put on every time I want to make sense of those particular pages. I wouldn't really describe that as any great advance in content provision.

Never been a fan of Lindsey Wixson, but loving her in Tim Walker's latest (and creepiest) editorial...awesome! Thanks for posting, testinofan!
