I do think Vogue Italia is getting lazy in recent 1-2 years. It used to have Runway supplement in January and July, Shopping Manual in February and August and there was a time even the supplements have own cover images (usually accompany to the main editorial in that issue). Then they only have covers with letters on them and then we don't have these supplements now.
Even the main issue decreases a lot just compare how many eds one issue had in the past.
I know the economy is not as good as it used to be, the budget for the magazine declined but still I think the magazine is getting lazy.

YIKES! Everyone needs to calm down! It's an anniversary issue - they're doing a retrospective! It's not that surprising! We get new content every month (from every magazine) - one month without it and everyone sounds like Vogue Italia committed the worst crime possible. Fashion is so, so, so fast, and so, so, so overloaded these that I can't help but feel like everyone's reactions are rather unsettling.

Love Natalia's cover. It is so nostalgic and glamorous. Nice to see Natalia looking like a mature woman that she's.

Everything else is too busy & messy for me.

this issue is actually very handy for anyone (like myself) in need of those vintage shots for framing round the house! Old 90s Vogue Italia go for very high prices on ebay, and if you need to cut it up, get this one instead. There is so many treasures when you look at them in one issue it is very impressive.

Much thicker in size than I imagined and as many have noted, it's perfect for those like myself who have missed out on previous issues

The fact that the retrospective of Meisel's eds is called Greatest Hits Vol. 1, I guess we can expect the same kind of ed in the August issue. After all Franca's first issue was July/August 1988.

How many pages does this issue have? I just realized that the July 1997 cover with Danielle Zinaich isn't part of Meisel's Greatest Hits. I mean, hello? It's one of the best VI covers EVER. Hopefully it'll be included in the Volume 2 of his greatest hits if ever there would be any next month.
