Vogue Italia July 2013 : 25 Years of Fashion by Steven Meisel

^I want to know as well. I can't imagine them paying to produce this editorial work.

Isn't there like a some sort of a team who's responsible for all of the expenses in an editorial shoot?

I assure you Conde Nast pays entirely for every photo shoot production. It wouldn't be the case where Meisel or any fashion editor foots the bill. Unless they insist to re shoot and have to cover the cost by themselves, but that seldom happens.

as a stylist who works mainly in editorial i can say with 100% surety - the magazine pays for everything. usually the photographers have contracts up front. hair, makeup, model etc. are paid a day rate - much lower than a commercial job. all travel & expenses are paid by the magazine. there are some publications that don't pay anyone - flaunt is one, but all the conde nast & hearst publications pay for their shoots.

Oh my... i can't believe than Franca decided to pull all the iconic shots of all the content on this issue, i through to see an new editorial with the Meisel's muses or the cover stars, but is an disspointed it. -_-

Natalia's cover is my fave & is a copy for an ad of Revlon with Brooke Shields by Avedon.
