Vogue Italia October 2003 : Daria Werbowy by Steven Meisel

I love the simpleness, but it would have been better had the hair not been so coiffed, yet still smooth.

this is quintessetial and representative of the christian dior coined term the "new look" in the 50's. i think this image is an excellent throwback of that era. Daria is perfect!

I like this cover better than the Australian Vogue. Her hair is too much, though.

I love it. Just a simple black and white picture.

Thanks for posting, Chickonspeed. :flower:

I really  how Vogue Italia has only a word or two on the covers. It puts the focus on the photography, which is where the focus should be! And the one or two words they choose don't bombard you with information...they just evoke a mood or feeling. :ninja: US Vogue could most definitely learn a thing or two.

agree, i think she looks fabulous.. but somehow i just feel that it's beginning to look too similar to her previous vogue cover

I love it too! I can see the similarities to her last cover though after it being pointed out. I love the 'new look Dior' black and white photo too that giselakas posted, I really really love it, probably only because I like the whole Dior 50s style. Thanks!

I love that edit.Everything is so regal and special.

It really does feel like an old film.Meisel would make a wonderful cinematographer.
