Vogue Italia September 2007 : Agyness Deyn by Steven Meisel

:buzz:Agyness!!!!!

I am in love with this cover. It's powerful. I just think of Vietnam when I look at it. And extraordinary is a great descripton of it.^_^

wow Raquel's ed look stupid. its not intelligent, its not unique - its dumb :ninja:

Any of Raquel's shots would've made a better cover. :innocent:

I like Raquel's mud bath, though the cover doesn't intrigue me at all. Agyness is boring.

what is it about dirt and high fashion that i just love so much? this is looking better... i'm glad there's another girl, even if it's raquel. ugh.

i have a feeling hilary might be in this too.

Not a huge fan of Raquel's ed, the first two strikes me as slightly demeaning.

That's definitely a cover worth buying the magazine for. The gloomy/dusty environment makes the black color pop, a perfect contrast between the dark green and brown/orange tones. I like how the stylist went out to portray Agyness as one of the dudes to equeal the physical effects. It's all about clothes baby! Another advantage of this cover could be Agyness' dark coat, that draws attention to the dirty uniforms as well. Good job on whoever came up with the context!

"Violence in Vogue Italia" seems to crop up quite frequently - last year's September cover with the firing range, then there was that boxing ring one with Raquel Z, and I can also remember a Linda Evangelista cover where she was wearing headgear and carrying some sort of cosh?

All of those scenarios contain elements that inspire unease - and which probably wouldn't be touched upon by any other major-name fashion magazine, for fear of offending someone.

Anyway, back to the subject in hand - I wonder who got the Alta Moda supplement cover?
Who can forget the brilliant Hilary versus Iselin crime scene combat!

I'm not the biggest fan of Agyness but I actually quite like the cover. My only issue is that she again looks a little too playful, and I like the seriousness or the drama in Raquel's shots from that editorial better. Especially the one where she's blowing smoking...dreamy.

Cannot wait to see all of this! Thanks Olga!

vogue italia will NEVER get old or bring for me this is GREAT..imo they just "get it"

Totally agree. Love Agyness, love the theme, love the cover.

There's no doubt this cover is visually pleasing:the colors flow together flawlessly and the Prada coat doesn't look too over the top, which together combine to make a photograph that's easy on the eyes.

However, soldiers and war are sensitive topics for most around the world; I for one just hate seeing the two mixed into fashion, since they really have no place there.

I think I like it. It's new and fresh. Agyness looks good. But I can't see Julia being in this editorial. But mabey it will turn out great...?

I can't imagine Julia there either but I can't wait to see her ^_^

I love the rough, dirty and provocative elements of Raquel's ed! :flower: Thanks! Can't wait to see all of these in full! :woot:

Once again, Vogue Italia proves that they are at the top of the pack. :flower:
