Vogue Korea February 2019 : Mariacarla Boscono by Hyea W. Kang

God, this is atrocious! I like change and being surprised, but Mariacarla is not exactly the first name to come to mind when you think of a sexy shoot. The makeup looks garish, hair looks like it was dyed by herself, and I don't get the styling. Also, wearing a Tisci-helmed brand? Groundbreaking.

I know it's early days, but nobody seems to be able to style this collection in a striking, innovative or even classic way. Everybody's trying too hard to edge it up when it's the edgy elements were so understated to begin with.

Dressed to kill what? Spiders in the bath?

She's dressed more like the half-naked victim of a murderer with a particular fetish for flesh-toned tights.

For a split second I thought it was Karen Elson.

The second version of the cover is very Harper’s Bazaar circa 2001/2002.

Does Vogue Korea change their art direction recently? or a new EIC?

One of worst covers that I have seen in a while.

Its weird, but I dont mind the hair, yes it looks cheap, but she is selling it to me. What is unacceptable is the styling, I dont wanna even who did because this person will have my disdain for ages.

Mariacarla is one of my all-time favorite models and I can't even remember seeing a bad photo of her... until now. These are just awful, AWFUL, A W F U L.
