Vogue Korea January 2019 by Coco Capitan

Don't like it! The try-hard Gucci-ness of it all seems a bit belated. Also, fed up with Coco Capitan's level of famewhoring. Stay behind the lens, please. She's the worst of the new wave female photographers.

I would love the second cover without the white border, the image is quite nice. I find Coco Capitan kinda boring tho.

I can't stand this Coco Capitan person. Her photography isn't that great, and she's not even attractive. Why is she on the cover of another Vogue?? That's the only thing "weird" about this dull cover.

There is nothing "weird" about the cover, though. It's a cold, calculated move for all the participating parties. That lettuce on their heads? Oh. Wow. Much creativity.

I'm really worried that people keep on eating this stuff up.

Too bad because there's an aesthetic here out of the ordinary that you cannot appreciate.

The fact that she appears on her own photographs, she is not Cindy Sherman....she embodies perfectly this generation....

Aesthetic? Lol. This is just creatively very poor. Putting lettuce on your head, fashion does not make.

Exactly, only she dared to make a cover like this, with lettuce on her head. That's the whole point. An aesthetic does not mean necessarily being pretty...there are many ways to express one and that makes art broader and more interesting.

Thats not my point. Juergen did it ages ago, its not that creative. I dont mind an alternative point of view and I dont mind hers. But In my opinion you're using big words like Aesthetic and Art not nessecarily applying to her and specifically this work.

Art and aesthetic are big words for those who don't understand them because in reality everything is and can be art and everything has an aesthetic. You can also say that Juergen wasn't the first one because before him many other artists put vegetables on people and some of them made portraits with vegetables like Arcimboldo, every artist gets inspired by something or someone before his or her era.

Can't Gucci find another hot overrated artist whose work looks like 100 other hot overrated artists on instagram already?
I'm so sick of this Gucci meets Napoleon Dynamite aesthetic.

At least have the full grocery bag on your head like the women in my hometown do. At least that would be a feat to applaud.
