SHELF LIFE: The hype surrounding the launch of Vogue Living may have been overblown. For one, executives are insisting Vogue Living is a special interest publication that does not have a definite regular frequency. Its 500,000 rate base includes 300,000 copies that will be polybagged to Vogue subscribers with household incomes over $100,000, or a net worth of over $1 million, or a home valued at more than $500,000. At present, Vogue has scheduled only one additional edition of Living for some time next year. According to a Vogue spokeswoman, "Moving forward you will see different Vogue products. Some will be new launches, some will be stand-alone issues." By comparison, Men's Vogue was greenlighted after its first issue and published four issues in 2006.
Perhaps a sign of Condé Nast's more limited goals for the title is that Vogue Living, which hit newsstands Tuesday, looks exactly like, well, Vogue. It reads more like a fashion magazine than a shelter title, with glossy spreads of regular Vogue characters. Jennifer Lopez, who graces the cover, Amanda Brooks, Karolina Kurkova and Aerin Lauder are featured in the spreads wearing elaborate ball gowns by Rochas and Balenciaga. Said Hamish Bowles, editor in chief of Vogue Living: "We wanted to do as much as we could to anchor it to big Vogue by embracing women who are in the orbit of Vogue, some of them under the radar, others more boldface."

J.LO ADORNS CHEZ.LO
By STEFANIE COHEN
October 16, 2006 -- Jenny from the Block is now lady of the manor.
In the fall issue of Vogue Living, Jennifer Lopez preens and poses in the glamorous country manse she shares on Long Island with her hubby, scruffy crooner Marc Anthony.
"I go a bit more for the drama," said J.Lo of her decorating style, while Anthony is "very bohemian."
Nevertheless, the stars managed to blend their tastes in the deco-fabulous, antebellum, brick, manor house in Brookville. "Of course, I needed a little more closet space," said the diva, who outfitted her dressing room with a crystal chandelier.
The piece de resistance in the home is a white-leather and red-velvet jewelry box by Louis Vuitton that sparkles with the gems she's accumulated over the years - but don't be fooled by the rocks that she's got.
Beneath it all, she's still an artist, which she proves in the basement vocal booth where she and Anthony make booty-ful music together. Stefanie Cohen
