Vogue Netherlands November 2014: Cato van Ee by Paul Bellaart

OMG!this magazine is getting worse by month...

I actually like it

I like this one actually. Their best covers seem to feature medium to extreme close-ups, preferably styled in black and topped with luscious hair. Like last month's or Ymre's cover for October 2013.

It's a nice image, but not cover-worthy. I also have no idea who the model is...is she well known in Holland or something?

No, but she did have a really great runway season years ago in 2008 & 2009 after being a Prada/Miu Miu exclusive.

She did campaigns for:
Acne , Adidas , Adidas SLVR Label , Calvin Klein Jeans , D&G , D&G Resort , Gas Jeans , H&M , John Frieda , Jones New York , Juicy Couture , Kiko Make-up Milano , Massimo Dutti Sport , Seven for All Mankind , Topshop , Tru Trussardi , Zeki Triko Swimwear.

If I knew I wanted a cover shot with a smiling model then I'd ask for Arizona Muse, whose smile lights up an entire newsstand full of magazines. I'm afraid I'm not feeling Cato's expression here and the movement of the hair is almost too much for a cover image.

Have always and will always love Cato. But completely unclear how this shot made it to print?, all I see is her boob awkwardly poking out. Not good.

I love that you can barely see the masthead.

lol what is this? absolutely unoriginal and uninspiring... another one please

This cover is not okay. I can stand this colors but the face of model is awful. Her skin is so odd. And this pretending smile..

I love Paul Bellaart's work and I love Cato, I think it's a shame what happened to her career because this girl is stunningly beautiful. But this cover, yeah not so much. It's like the shot right before the nip slip.

Cato is one of my favorites and as much as I like this shot of her, it's not a good cover shot, especially for Vogue.
