Vogue Poland July/August 2020 : Alexandra Agoston by Chris Colls

 This obscene and vulgar glorification of nepotism must end!
I'd feel so slighted if I were Alexandra, this whole idea that her accomplishments are tied to who she's sleeping with. Like Heloise, these magazines didn't rush to book them before this virus took hold yet now because they're dating photographers they get a leg up on Vogue covers.

Needless to say, the cover looks ok. Except for Chis' greasy looking hair and that childish rainbow fonts, of course.

this covid era made family contracts blossom... Sometimes Chris shoots good, sometimes not but Alexandra Agoston... we havent even heard her name if it wasn`t Chris...

My only complaint is that Alexandra isn't wearing heels, which I feel would've elevated the shot somewhat. Otherwise, I'm a fan and the overall feel of the shot is giving me Kate Moss x Mario Sorrenti vibes.

Quite surprised we haven't seen Alexandra Agoston x Chris Colls sooner, considering they're the perfect pair for editors to collaborate with given current social distancing restrictions.

Vogue Germany july, Vogue Russia he shot her, unconditional magazine with them both

Yeah the whole A + C thing is beyond boring and overplayed at this point. I literally have no desire to see the editorial because I can already imagine what it would look like.

I’ll just scroll past this one.

Ironically I dont even know who he is but know her work from way back.

you can just watch her portfolio and see that the major part of the work and most of a-list work like vogue from various countries (German, Russian, Poland, Paris etc), Cover of Lui (where Chris is longtime collaborator) are provided by Chris Colls

While I don't like this cover, I think Alexandra is doing a great job with her body. Most of her shoots are long legs, lots of skin and glamorous poses; and that kinda suits her.

Just saw her portfolio on IMG and its amazing how much of her work is affiliated to him. The irony is she mostly excels when other photographers shoot her like in these two by
Lucian Bor and Yulia Gorbachenko.
She had a pretty solid high fashion career and was a Gaultier fave but I guess he brought her to the mainstream.

This edition has no direction at all. Every month they are doing something completely different. The cover is embarrassing. There is nothing high fashion about it. Could easily be an influencer couple Instagram post. I wonder how are they doing sale wise.

I'm crying lmao.

He really is sort of just...okay in the photography department isn't he. The cover is just passable I guess.

Summer? B&W cover, fully clothed in not so summer-ish looks, weird and heavy posing, so unnatural.
Even the series of images of 1965, that was clearly an inspiration, by Bert Stern of David Bailey and Veruschka shows more summer than this mediocrity.

And her biggest campaign from the last couple of years is that Stuart Weitzman campaign with Doutzen, where she was the anonymous pair of legs.

I'm so happy for Alexandra, she's been around for ages and I think this maybe her first Vogue cover ever. Even in Australia she hasn't had a Vogue cover which is rare because she has been modelling internationally for so long. Congrats.

Main ed, i must say it's too blank, some shots are ok, some are so repetitive like some newcomer-photographer just took few online masterclass and launch ig account with sexy shots (reminds me of expensive call girl portfolio)... Styling is ok for instagram shooting like blogger tried to look fashionable, but it's vogue, my darling and i saw you tried, but unfortunately shots are not looking like some Testino from 90s: sexy and simple...
