At this point I've come to accept and appreciate that Vogue Portugal seems it will always be Vogue Portugal at this point. I think over the past year they found a little more focus . The environmentalist theme works, and I think they did a good job here trying to portray what they are going with.

Pointless theme issue aside, these two covers are striking. Very cinematic.

It's can get worse but at least the VP team know when to stop, unlike VI.

Not using copywriters/editors might not save the environment, but it will save any edition of Vogue a bit of money. It might catch on.

The problem with VP is that sometimes they produce good covers and cover stories but the rest of the inside contents are mostly snoozefest.

They put fashion in context. They create a narrative, set a mood, become it. They play with clothes. They treat models like actors. Each issue has a theme. Each cover has a title. They go the extra mile. They claim a space of their own in the Vogue ecosystem.

They don't always get it right. Then again, who does. Then again, at least they try.

I love these people.

The explanation of this issue is still pretentious despite how they shove down to our throats that they aren't influencing our thoughts.

Regardless, the first cover looks beautiful. I love it!

It's a nice take on our environment issues and sustainable fashion, but I wish they had pushed the envelope a bit more. Give me Vogue Italia August 2010 "The Latest Wave" and I will take it forever.

Ever since this team took over, I think this is just 2nd or 3rd cover given to a portuguese photographer.

Covers are consistent, there is no doubt. Aesthetic, idea for it, it's always same. It's boring execution.
But I find it bit ironic how a 300 (or similar) page magazine does an issue like this. I do hope they decreased amount of publicity by now.
