First of all, haven't we had enough butterflies yet on the cover that they decided to put one on her mouth? This is what you get for being excessive and over emphasizing. If it weren't for the butterflies, this could have been such a strong cover. Her vulnerable and innocent stare is piercing and hauntingly beautiful but sadly it is thoroughly distracted by the butterflies.
And yet again with the gray background. You only use gray/plain backgrounds when you want to take away any distractions from the image. But how can that be the case here? If you wanted to put all the attention on Natasha, why on earth would you cover her up with tons of Butterflies? The background just killed this photo. Imagine if this were an outdoor shot and was blurred a little bit? How heavenly could that have been? The overall mood of the cover makes it look like it was toned down to draw attention to her, I love that, but how I wish they removed the butterflies because it's the exact opposite of what they wanted to do.
One thing that I like about this though is the overall styling. I love what Natasha is wearing. It's costume-y and a bit cultural but it's perfect IMO. And that hair is unclockable! Chic! At least they got it right there.
The butterflies, yet again, are terrible. In what world will someone where that butterfly trend? Is this Vogue Russia's newest promoted trend? Butterflies? I'll really laugh if the editorial didn't even have butterflies in them. I could've gone with the butterflies as headpiece but the rest.. meh
