When I read it was Adèle by Patrick Demarchelier I thought that it has all the possibilities to turn out good but since it's Vogue Russia it will probably end up flat and mediocre. Funny thing, it actually turned out horrendous, like an impromptu shoot on your friend's iPhone after the fancy party is over but you still have your evening gown and (smudgy) make-up on.

I applaud them for going outdoors for a change, but this is a trainwreck. It's all so amateur, why am I seeing a aggregate concrete on a Vogue cover? Whoever retouched this image did a real shoddy job with the background. And her dress looks too small (is that a drawstring I spot around her waist??).

With all that said I'm still happy for Adele. It's odd to see her fashion cred picking up steam only now while Léa is almost royalty at this stage.

VR has been really switching it up latley, such an unexpected cover shot, especially since its Deamrchelier. I really like it.

It makes you really realize how pathetic Vogue Paris is at this point when an actress like Adèle gets the cover of Vogue Russia before it.

I mean, not that people wouldn't b*tch and moan to high heaven if an *actress* was on the cover of Vogue Paris, but really...
