Not awful by any stretch, but whatever is lacking prevents both images from being actually suited for a magazine cover. Kris should've made direct eye contact, and Maike's looks like it was shot with a mobile phone. Also, very random to have both as one looks early autumn and the other high summer.

First cover feels like something teen vogue would do. Second one is miles better but Kris looks very stiff. There is something awkward about that pose. I still think it's a good photo though. I love the styling and colors.

Wow, Kris looks amazing! Her cover is giving me major VP by M&M vibes.

I like Maike, but her cover is unnecessary.

Wow, I don't recall seeing Kris in such glamorous attire before, it agrees with her! Initially it reminded me of Mert & Marcus, but now that I'm looking at it again it's much more Ellen von Unwerth, it lacks the richness M&M bring to such glamour shoots.
I actually don't hate the first cover either, it reminds me of Agyness and I think it's a lovely picture. Could've been better, of course, but it's not all that bad.

I don't really care for Maike. She's a filler model at best. Now Kris on the other-hand... That's a Star. She looks amazing. Just look at that gaze! No one has really taken advantage of her beauty. You can really do a lot with a face like that. Vogue Russia did her justice this time. I'm sure her editorial will be fabulous. I'm looking forward to it!
