Vogue Russia November 2016 : Lia & Odette Pavlova by Patrick Demarchelier

That's possibly the worst Vogue Russia cover I've ever seen. It's like two depressed cyberpunks who can't be bothered to get washed or dressed properly anymore.
and that's why I like it. The only thing that bothers me is the make up under the eye of odette, it looks freshly done and it looks bad, it doesn't work for what I would enjoy

I LOVE this! It's kinda messy, but edgy, yet ugly at the same time. Kinda what fashion is about right now.

This is something different from Patrick but it i like it. Although, i rather see someone like Raquel Zimmermann and Arizona Muse doing this, I think it would work.
omg yes it would totally work ! but I love the twins as well, now (it took me times)

Arizona would work too though the mood would be different, very deep american, glitter as the remedy to boredom and so on. But I just love the Eastern European vibe of the cover, how real it looks from head to toe. Raquel in comparison (and she's a great model) would immediately make it look like some fake Vogue Paris stuff, beautiful yet with a serious lack of soul.

good point for arizona !
yet the remedy to boredom is also there for eastern europe vibe/girls... but yes it would look different
for raquel, I think she could be more like a classy trash girl and I would enjoy that...

Am I the only one getting '90s Britpop and club culture vibes? (Is it so obvious that I didn't need to post this comment?) That make up brings the looks to the present though.

send him in nursing home already. if Kaufman is really for December cover this will be 3 covers in a row for him... this is crazy

Aw, I think that's harsh. I am so thankful to have the likes of Demarchelier, Testino and Meisel still working today. The younger generation of photographers making waves throughout the industry nowadays are absolutely pants and don't hold a candle to the three greats I just mentioned.

Demarchelier's still producing such wonderful fashion imagery today, but I must admit that this cover isn't his finest hour. Then again, the photograph itself is perfectly fine, it's just the horrific styling which I detest here.

Just had a look at hair stylist, Ward Stegerhoek's Instagram, hilarious! He seems like tons of fun. The type of person who'd communicate via Real Housewive gifs. It's unfortunate that I don't really like his styling on Lia & Odette, nor on Valery. It looks greasy, dirty, and full of product.
