In this issue, Vogue Scandinavia spotlights the magnetic film duo Renate Reinsve and Halfdan Ullmann Tøndel, whose on- and off-screen chemistry has made them our region’s hottest film duo. We also get to know Swedish acting talents Frida Gustavsson and Gustav Lindh, the half-Danish internet sensation Dodi El’circy, and the trio of inspiring women behind Hést, Princess Märtha Louise of Norway’s brand. Plus, an exclusive short story by best-selling novelist Vigdis Hjorth. From film to fashion, literature to design, Issue 22 is a celebration of the trailblazing creative talents shaping Scandinavia today.
Vogue Scandinavia really amazes me. Their covers are usually boring but their contents are extremely interesting. I have a few issues and really enjoy to revisit them. The ad pages are minimum, the editorials are well curated and the written content is extense and interesting.
I flip this issue today...i like that is packed with contents instead of ads but the contents are not that exciting...i like the approach but the need tp step up because paying 20 euro for that is too much...
^^^ It’s very juvenile: Junior level of ideations and productions copping superior executions of M de Monde/ Bazaar Netherland/Wallpaper. And as if to enforce just how childish this Vogue is, there’s a feature praising Harris Reed for bringing Nina Ricci back from obscurity LOOL That isn’t to say that the young can’t produce solid work. Vogue Adria is very young, but the talent and skills are there even if they’re mining, even pilfering greater Vogues of the past. They’re making it their own. This Vogue is the epitome of mid— with the most unforgivable typeface selection to boot.
And Halfdan is potentially more model-esque than Renate could ever be: He is very handsome. There are selects of him that showcase his stronger and sharper features than the witless photographer is able to capture. Just unfortunate the team let him down in every amateur, inexperienced, unwelcoming way possible. And even more hilarious that the coverline proclaiming “cinematic chemistry” shows a bored, unwilling, uncomfortable man forced next to her LMFAO Their depressing story goes nowhere; conjures not a lick of mood, unless sitting around wishing for the shoot to end is a mood; annoyingly clichéd poses; and absolutely not a whiff of connection in a single select, of any “cinematic chemistry” between the two. Only the very inexperienced aren’t able to see this.
