Vogue Turkey June 2016 : Andreea Diaconu by Dan Martensen

Finally something effortless for a change. A tad too carefree for a Vogue cover though (think H&M), but it's definitely an upgrade for Vogue Turkey.

I don't like the color scheme, everything seems to blend in together... but I do like the effortless vibe, like Benn said.

I like how natural and simple this cover looks.

She looks gorgeous! However, this is not made for a Vogue cover. There has to be a better shot

Very summerly cover, looks like than Vogue Spain's team made it.

Very happy for Andreea and Dan Martensen is cool too so I hope it will be good. This pic is okay but it isn't really cover material.

Great for Andreea. She is so beautiful. It's a pleasure to see her on Vogue cover.

It does remind me of H&M, but it's a good cover. Always great to see Andreea!

shes just soo beautiful

only looks like h&m cause she's everywhere in the store and ads

It does look very casual, but maybe you're right! I actually like Andreea as a model, but everywhere I turn I see that face. It feels as though she's the only face of the brand! It's like Karen Elson all over again.

It feels very amateur and I agree: h&m catalog is actually better than this. This shot is unworthy of a Vogue cover. I always say this but once again allow me to: people here at the Covers Challenge do a much much better job than a lot of people working on Vogue covers as a living.

^The last part of your post says a lot... right after you labeled this as "unworthy of Vogue". Because this is the real question, is Vogue still a standard in terms of cover quality? With VI becoming as its sisters from France, UK, US etc, and I bet you're aware of Vogue China's latest prowess, the level of creativity is near zero these days.

Apart from this, it's not bad and nothing special. Andreea looks good, so does the location and photography is well executed. But it's all so generic, cataloguesque if you want. Do we really have so many trees on earth to waste so much paper every month? (Not talking especially of that one but in general, it's becoming more and more pointless to print magazines if it's for mediocre or "pasteurized" contents.)

I second every single word from your comment!!!

I'm loving Andreea Diaconu more and more. As simple as this.
She reminds me of Angela Lindvall.

Sad but true at 200% yes. Vogue lost for me its edge and the power it used to have in terms of maintaining its CLASS with a capital letter C. I mean once you get Kim Kardashian anyways on the once most respected and fashionable magazine in the world then yeah you do, we all do hell ya, have to ask the question ``Is Vogue still a standard in terms of cover quality?´´ and now every Vogue edition create those commercial catalogue covers and no longer are creative.

Indeed Vogue China was amazing a few years back and Vogue Australia is now that, as you said: Vogue Italia is like another Vogue in a million, the only magazine still bringing something cool and creatively appealing for me. Why though???
- It is because we are in this instafamous era where every star and model and unknown people want the biggest amount of followers and likes on IG for self-esteem reasons?
- or because people are fame w****s
- or because our society focuses more on numbers and money rather than on actual talent?

I don´t know but I am concerned to not see Vogue as the one bible and guardian of the Fashion world.
