I simply cannot hate on this. My anticipation for Atomic Blonde is too much to overwhelming. Even without my bias, it's still a gorgeous cover (when considered in the right context). There's definitely some retouching on her face, but it looks fine.

Would never have imagined this to be shot by Alasdair (his first cover for them, I'm sure).

I love Charlize Theron, but I genuinely thought they'd airbrushed Donatella Versace into oblivion when I took a very quick glance at the cover. Awful hair and makeup here, and feel like it's a total waste of Charlize (especially following last month's wonderful Natalia x Steven Meisel collaboration).

Ikr!! Must say, Alasdair did something different with her and I like the cover.
That said, with this movie being so excessively hyped, W literally had gold on their hands and this is what they gave us? What is that editorial? Such disjointed styling and photography, all down to whoever selected the images! And only four shots? For once I'd have liked an oversaturated and excessively cinematic Steven Klein direction to take full advantage of Charlize in this getup.

^ Yeah, the ed is a let down, just because given The Atomic Blonde theme, they could have really done something badass!! Klein really would have been perfect for this shoot, and just four shots is what W is now, their pages count is going down with each issue, smh! Even Allure does better spreads than this!

Obviously this is Charlize > in character > based on Debbie Harry, but Mclellan falls short of producing anything remarkable, His work lacks edge to bring this alive.

I agree Atomic Charlize vs Klein could have badass.
