W Korea June 2007 : Malgosia Bela by David Byun

Yes, he is, at least in Korea. He has worked with W, Vogue Korea. But I never like his photographs, 'cause they're just awful and he makes models look unflattering and ugly.

I am shocked that he shoots for a magazine like W. Technically speaking, there are parts of the image that do not even have any detail in the clothes. The lighting is not flattering or even interesting. Besides that, how is it even possible to make Malgosia Bela look so plain?

The photographer always makes models' eyes look dead and uses too much light so the pores and even hairs are completely exposed, not in a good way. Moreover he seems not to know how to conceal blemishes of models' face. I just hope he will retire soon... But not every Korean photographers are bad like him.
