they look as good as their film. bad.
it’s just a look that doesn’t work...

Zendaya’s young face and overall attitude can’t pull off a look that’s made for someone evoking that 80’s luxury and John David’s expression is completely out of place.

Nadine is on a roll.

John’s facial expression is a bit weird, but I like the cover nonetheless. The colour palette reminds me of the Steven Klein story with Brangelina.

She looks like a washed out teenager, playing dress up drag.
The two of them just don't look natural together. It's a terrible cover.

^Thought it was just me, they really don't look believable together at all. Add to that the deliberately grown-up styling on Zendaya and how hard she's trying to emote. As hard as she did in that movie, lol.
Anyway, they're a few weeks too late. This cover had to drop when Twitter was in meltdown mode over how 'good' the film was. And because Gen Z's attention span is so short nowadays I doubt this cover will make waves.

So I'm not the only one to think Zendaya's acting was not natural at all? I saw people praying her performance left and right, but as much as I like Zendaya, she was trying too hard and Jonh and her did not seem believable, just like in this cover.

LOL, someone literally had the gall to say Malcolm & Marie was like the modern-day Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? And that Zendaya will be a forerunner for a Best Actress Oscar. I had to burst out laughing because it's simply too delusional.
But then again, I also laughed when the rumour of Margaret Zhang dropped on here and look how that turned out. LOL.

The movie needed someone who could act, and who at least looked more mature and not like a teenager. Someone like Kiki Layne.

John's face looks blurred? Eye literally grabbed my glasses to check if my eyes were just betraying me. It also look like it was super-imposed to his body?

The styling on Zendaya.... way way way beyond her years.

Could have been better.

The lack of chemistry between those two is almost criminal lol. U can't even spot a sprinkle of truth in these photos (just like you can't in the movie).

Nadine's photography, in the other hand, looks nice, quite decadent. I'm always down for a beige nouveau riche drama.

I like Zendaya here, how she channels this J-Lo or Georgina Grenville for Gucci vibe, but doesn't Mr. Washington look like he had his head copy-pasted on? It's even out of focus and blurred comparing to the rest of the picture.

Can we please talk about the editor in chief of W magazine? Surprised DietPrada never picked this up. Guess some folks are just protected by their rich
daddies forever. To get to the power position because your daddy is powerful (misogynist, r*pist), and who Anne Wintour wanted to please, so put his daughter up in the ranks of Conde. I mean, yes, Ivanka and Jared are ok to trash, and we should do that, by all means!!! But at what point will the community be allowed to say loudly Les Moonves is a criminal, yet no consequences for anyone from his inner circle. Just sayin
