What am I going to do in the winter?

90% of my shoes consist of flats(ballet, khussas, loafers, etc) and I have no idea what I'm going to do in the winter. I have to walk pretty far from my school to class and need something to wear during fall and winter. I don't want to wear anything with a heel or even a 1/2 inch. Please help, I have no idea what kind of shoes would look stylish but a little practical, actual shoe recommendations would be great too.

I wear flat boots, stockings/socks with my ballet shoes,or trainers such as converse.

I also vote for flat boots. I wear it with stockings and legwarmers just under the knee and skirt.
