What Are You Reading?

On The Road

I've been waiting forever to read this book... finally I have a break between books I have to read for school.

:woot: I just finished David Sedaris "Dress Your Family in corduroy and Denim" and I really enjoyed it laughed out loud in that book more then any other i've read..:p

Before that i reread "Of Mice and Men" I cry ever time at the end:cry:

Karl Marx - The Communist Manifesto
Ernest Hemingway - The Sun Also Rises

Ralph Emerson's essays - Gotta love American optimism! Seriously though - I think it's a good read.

Some book on intention. It's terribly boring, but somebody highly recommended it and I'd hate handing it back to her without having read it. :ninja:

I'm reading that right now too! I am actually reading a few books at once, depending on where i'm at - one for school, one before bed, etc.

Just finished Flannery O'Connor's Wise Blood and started on Virginia Woolf's Orlando.

I was looking so forward to reading that, after I read Dharma Bums, but I guess there was nothing further to please me in On the Road, I was so bored...

For school (when is it ever anything else? :()

Jean Luis Borges - The Aleph, a collection of short stories

Enjoying it...

The Glass Menagerie. It's one of my books for the school year but I don't know when we're getting around to it and it probably won't be until next year. I'm getting a head start because I have nothing to read right now! Unless you count that Gossip Girl thing I finished in a day!

I am reading
-Galileo's Daughter: written from correspondance between the mathematician and his daughter who was a nun.

-Walking a Literary Labrynith: Reading As A Spiritual Journey: a book written by a Nun about her experiences reading.

Weird, 2 books w/ Nuns.

I just finished the Historian and it was so good, it had a complex but fascinating story line and the mixed medium didn't make it seem so long.

:woot: this is probably my favorite book, the movie is almost as good tho!

Weird - i just finished reading this book today! I decided to watch the movie again, which has always been one of my favorite movies. The book was excellent and the movie is equally excellent even where it strays...
