Dark Queen by Susan Carroll (really good!)
Bet me by Jennifer Crusie (VERY good! I recommend this highly if you are in a chick lit mood day!)

lol!

have you read the "sequel"? i can't remember the name but it was so bad. i read it a few years ago and was so disappointed. by a different author (obviously) .... really bad!!!:yuk:
Yeah I liked it. I thought that people were a little too hard on it. I didn't expect it to be as good as Gone With the Wind. For what it was, i enjoyed it. And it had the ending I wanted^_^ !!!! The made for TV movie of it WAS terrible though:yuk: BTW the name was Scarlett and the author was Alexandra Ripley.

Haruki Murakami - Kafka on the Shore

How is it compared to his other stuff?

Dostoyevskiy - Notes From the Underground. << Incredible.

I just finished "Where the Heart is" for school, Stay away  the movie is worse though some of the worst writing imaginable!

The Secret History by Donna Tart. It's brilliant. I'm almost done and can't wait to read the last 100 pages!

Paul Austers latest novel "Follie a Brooklyn" is the italian title..I'm to ignorant to remember the original one..

But I absolutely love the books of Paul auster..

Just read Taxi driver (screenplay)-Paul Schrader
and now reading
The Moth Diaries- Rachel Klein.
Both very good :)

I'm about a third of the way through it....so far I'm finding myself in the curious postition of being both disappointed yet unable to put it down. There's a strong spiritual theme in the book with I'm finding a little tiresome; I enjoy the surreal elements in Murakami's work, but he seems to be beating this particular theme into the ground here...But in terms of the plot, I'm dying to know what happens, at least half the time (there are two alternating story lines - which presumably will merge eventually - one of which is really intriguing, the other less so). So I'm forging ahead.

Oh, and I don't think the English translation helps much either, it's pretty hokey.
