Yeah I liked it. I thought that people were a little too hard on it. I didn't expect it to be as good as Gone With the Wind. For what it was, i enjoyed it. And it had the ending I wantedjustlooking said:lol!
have you read the "sequel"? i can't remember the name but it was so bad. i read it a few years ago and was so disappointed. by a different author (obviously) .... really bad!!!![]()

I'm about a third of the way through it....so far I'm finding myself in the curious postition of being both disappointed yet unable to put it down. There's a strong spiritual theme in the book with I'm finding a little tiresome; I enjoy the surreal elements in Murakami's work, but he seems to be beating this particular theme into the ground here...But in terms of the plot, I'm dying to know what happens, at least half the time (there are two alternating story lines - which presumably will merge eventually - one of which is really intriguing, the other less so).
