i'm not usually one to read two books at once but these two happen to be working very well together, though i think i'm going to have to force myself to finish the first because the second is quickly becoming an obsession.
I'm reading The Ocean at the End of the Lane right now. It's not my type of book at all. It's such a fantasy, but I'm surprised at how much I actually enjoy it. I'm starting to wonder why I didn't read more fantasy books as a child. I was so boring!
^I read The Ocean at the End of the Lane over the summer and loved it too! Like you, I'm so not a fantasy reader, but I loved this one - it reminded me of Harry Potter. I've read a couple more of Neil Gaiman's books since then. If you haven't read it yet, Neverwhere is also really great.
