First a book, my English class has finished reading Heart of Darkness. I love how this author, Joseph Conrad, puts his words together!

Now a play, A Doll's House by Henrik Ibsen.

I just finished The Shadowline by Joseph Conrad! (great choice with Ibsen too btw )

I'm also reading a play at the moment, Cleansed by Sarah Kane

Beautifully written, the family epic reminds me of my favourite book - One Hundred Years ot Solitude

I enjoyed it very much and you have to admit to the genius of Brown. He did however mentioned some very iffy things about my religion but one has to bear in mind that he is trying to sell a book.

Read Garcia Marquez's Cronica de una Muerte Anunciada earlier this year... LOVED that book!


Just finished Virginia Woolf- To the Lighthouse (I'm not a fan...)
just starting Ada (or Ador) so no opinion yet...

And soon The Secret Life of Bees

"Chick Lit" Books:
finished Talulahland (quite good, at least it seemed that way when I read it- but I did have a fever, so no garantees!)

The Nanny- mildly amusing!

I'm not sure how to catagorize this one:
What's Wrong With Dorfman?
A strange book, not sure what I think of it yet... not terribly satiffying in the end. But it was quite witty at times, and was a decent amusement.

I must read a biography of sorts of Richard Lionheart before my medieval history exam on Friday morning. I say "biography of sorts" because this book lacks all the fun aspects of biography.

"middlesex" could easily be my fave book of 2003, glad you liked it

i'm now deep in "soul circus" by George Pelekanos and yes, it is getting much better but still not as brilliant as his previous crime stories
