What Are You Reading?

the plot against america -- philip roth
middlesex -- jeffrey euginedes (sp?)
the white hotel -- forget!

Eugenides --- Yeah, he's such a great writer. I absolutely loved that book. It was so epic. The hot dogs! ha! If you enjoy that, I'd recommend his first book, The Virgin Suicides as well... It's worth reading even if you've seen the movie. :flower:

D.M. Thomas. I did not like it one bit...

Vargos Llosa - The Real Life of Alejandro Mayta

middlesex is a great book and I'm looking forward to virgin suicides (even though I have seen the movie several times). I'm hoping the book will make more sense than the movie.

white hotel is truly bizarre -- what is this about??

I just finished it. I loved the 1st 3 Shopoholic books, but I was dissappointed in the 4th, so I really wasn't sure what to expect from this. It was just as good as Shopoholic and I got strange looks from people b/c I was laughing out loud on the train!

extremely loud and incredibly close by jonathan safron foer...about a boy whose father dies in 9/11, and he leaves him a key...he doesn't know what the key is for...

R is for Ricochet - Sue Grafton
Have you read her whole series? I've read the 1st one and I'm trying to decide if I want to read the rest.

^ Sorry, no. I've only read a few and I haven't gone in order. I have heard good things about the series, though, if that helps...
