Hey Tangerine, thanks a lot for the kind words... glad you liked my look yesterday, and especially that you liked my old/revisited jeans, ha, ha. people from all over the world making old jeans last forever united!!! cool that u had a similar pair! and inter is right that you look like a hunk! manly looking... YET cool and stylish. i am sure inter will post some of her pics and cool outfits soon. btw, she has the most gorgeous hair i have ever seen. one more reason to hate her.. ha, ha.. just kidding about the hate thing, of course! also tang, i bloody love that grey sweater! sporty chic indeed! not to mention that you always look great in jeans. i wear jeans almost everyday. i am a very lazy girl in what refers to dress up and such and i find jeans are usually cool enough for me... esp. if they are rock and roll looking ones!

You are a honey, urd. seriously i was amazed you sewn and designed yourself that cute white coat... my best friend (inter) is also very creative and she usually customize many of her clothes as well as my clothes... i cant even sew a button and i always have to ask my sister to even do that for me... guess i am a mess of a girl for this brave new 21 century we are living...

In a previous post which i titled "comments" i forgot to add that i love "adorevintage" look, she is the forum's queen of hippy chic! love it. the perfect revisited image for an american woman in the year 2005.

she always appears very smiling and looking as she is having the time of her life in every pic and that really cheers me up as i am more the melancholic, negative kind (in the sense that i always think everthing is gonna turn out wrong for me and things...). keep smiling, girl !

urd... that is great that you are studying such cool thing! i expect to get a disccount when buying your clothes in the not so far future. i mean it! please keep on showing us any other thing you design and make. it is truly interesting.

today i was wearing basically the same clothes i wore yesterday (same jeans and anna sui tshirt) but with completely different jacket, shoes and accesories (bag and foulard). i keep being a mess with my digi-cam so i took more pics of me in the mirror and all of them using flash. as a result very little of me can be seen. the things which remain in the dark are the items i didnt wear yesterday....

you only get to see a bit of the high heeled golden shoes i wore today and the foulard i wore as a belt... the shoes were a great buy by Inter who gave them to me as a surprise present and were only 6 € . Attached is also a closer pic of the golden shoes! the foulard was also very cheap as well (it even has holes as i have worn it a lot) and i bought it ages ago at H&M.

as for the other clothes which cant be seen, they are the following:
-Black striped jacket bought in H&M last year with badges i attached to it.
-Black Sonia Rykiel bag

i promise to get better at taking pics... (i´d better improve or else i should throw the cam from my window instead... )

Urd, looking very cute again ...

So this morning I was thrilled to note a 42 degree drop from the high I noted last nite after 6 (104 degrees, 62 this morning) ... today was clearly the day to break out the fall clothes for real!

So ... I put together for the first time

new grey/purple/pewter metallic tweed cropped jacket w/portrait collar (Marc Jacobs)
favorite old black wool crepe skirt, back from its little refurbishing at the tailor (Ann Freedberg)
black sleeveless sweater with organza front (MaxStudio)--bought last spring, just now wearing
black double fishnets (fishnet + laceup effect) (Donna Karan)
new black velvet/grosgrain pumps w/ lacquer heel (Ferragamo)
vintage grey birdseye Lucite bag
grey keshi pearl hoops (bought for this jacket) (Ten Thousand Things)

So I'm putting this together for the first time b/c it's just been too damn hot to try on wool. And I notice a few things (too many words because no digital camera to illustrate) ...

Damn, I remember why I used to wear black all the time! And, Ann Freedberg, don't know much about her, but judging by this skirt she's a freakin' genius! This black skirt is so great people stop me to ask about it.

Other thought is, good thing I am unlikely to meet Dita von Teese today, she would probably kill me for these shoes and hose Great neo-Gothic effect.

In reality I am long-waisted, but the combination of the cropped jacket with its peplum effect (I'm wearing it buttoned, it was open on the runway) and the long genius skirt really makes me look tall & narrow (I'm only 5'4"), so I am thrilled with the optical illusion

But here is the sad thing. I have mentioned before that Marc Jacobs irony is lost here. So I just went out to grab some lunch at a place that's based in Austin, and I had forgotten about the side benefits of that ... there was a discussion of Tom Delay's indictment going on. And here is the really lowering part ... people started shushing the girl who was going off (and I was so enjoying her rant too) because ... in my MJ jacket they mistook me for a Republican.
