Geez...I am officially retiring from this thread until further notice, it's giving me so much stress and making me more self conscious than i should be, i feel so poor and inadequate sometimes reading this thread.

I'm pretty happy about my outfit and then I come here and I realise I am possibly the least stylish person on this website with the least glamorous wardrobe. Everyone is so well dressed, and when people compliment my outfit I always think "ooh, softgrey could do better... voodoomary would totally work this" or something.

yeah that's exactly how i feel...i just can't keep up with others with my weak *** wardrobe. I think I hate my clothes...i wish i could just win $10,000 like those game shows and just go on a shopping spree, that'd be totally sweet.

ftb & stargirl - You both have great style....I think this thread is really just about bouncing each other's style onto each and it's not like a competition or anything. Plus....to be honest if you were not confident about your style and acknowledged that you yourself were stylish then you probably wouldn't have posted in the first place right? So give yourselves more credit!
And a further note to FTB - Poor and inadequate? You? With your DH and Yohji filled wardrobe???? Don't think so.....the rest of us are slumming it in H&M. Plus, with a wardrobe like your's, it's the quality not the quantity that counts.

Oh and furthermore (promise it's the last thing) ftb - You rate highly on my best dressed male tfs list if it's any consolation. (Won't actually do a chart rundown....coz that wud be really rude!)

Oh man, me too. I have lots of clothes but so few wearable ones. I end up just wearing the same things over and over and over again because it's all that fits and I really love. I do not own one designer thing. Wait, a pair of 4 year old Ralph Lauren jeans that are actually my mum's and a CK gray marle oversized tee that I sometimes sleep in. Pah, I suck.

Oh susie, please don't say that...I know i'm wack as hell dawg, i'm ugly, i got no game, i'm unoriginal, and i'm too poor to afford keeping up with things in the newest season...and to top it off i'm insecure as hell i guess posting in here was more of a confirmation of that. Don't say that...you're way out of my league.

So yeah. this post is totally unrelated to personal style and will be deleted as soon as one of the mods see it, which is probably for the better. Fear and loathing in Ann Arbor at 3 in the morning, there are few greater pleasures in life.

Chris and Softgrey had matching outfits...awesome! Softgrey, who are the pants made by? did you tuck them in or they are just tapered at the end? In addition, I like the way you layered two t shirts with a little white edge shown...
Nemuu, you know how much I am jealous of your vest...I have been looking for one but not been successful.

FtB and Stargirl,......first of all, FtB must be drunk. You two have got great style and you look very cool. Don't ever take things on the Internet forums seriously or personally. I can show you a girl's collection on a different forum and then you will feel tFS is way better. Think about age, FtB, you are not supposed to afford lots of things when you are at school right? (unless you have rich parents who allow you to use their credit card) Lots of people here are just older and work, and that's why we can afford a little more (not even a lot more). I had nothing years ago when I was at grad school, let alone a yohji yamamoto jacket. And I survived just fine.
It's just a place where we show different styles and ideas, so don't ever feel bad about yourself. You are always the best as long as you are confident and you believe yourself. Just my two cents

FtB and stargirl...don't go! I know what you mean about the "inadequate" feeling...but you have to remember the most important (and over-quoted) thing about style, it's HOW you wear something...not WHAT. And on the flip side...if tweaking an outfit becomes too much work, you could always take the "established uniform" route...a la Karl Lagerfeld or even Margot Tennenbaum...figure out what works for you and do it impeccably.

Hello everyone! So I've been trawling through this thread trying to get through it all from the beginning. It's crazy how fast paced it's become!

Even if I'm relatively new I'd like to make a few shout outs to people who's outfits I remember in no particular order:
caffeine: for always looking sharp!
edk: for being able to pull of looks (white jeans & that pink outfit) I wouldn't normally consider (lol. boring me) and inspiring me to be more adventurous
ftb: I'm jealous of your Yohji wardrobe man, your look is effortlessly classic yet chic
ilovechanel: you have the most adorable dresses/skirts!
purechris: I think you have the best pairs of shoes/boots I've seen saw you had a pair of distressed ones - were those by Martin Margiela?

You guys cannot say stuff like that!!!! Remember that its not MONEY that buy good taste.. It is possible to not pay for designer quality clothes and still be very very very stylish!!! There's tons of people who only buy gorgeous and CHEAP vintage (cheap and chic!) clothes and look TERRIFIC, as opposed to those who buy ridiculous amounts of designer clothes just for the namesake and look like clowns!!! Who cares what others think of you, be true to yourself, wear what you love and CAN afford..... it would be ridiculous going broke just to get some designer must have stuff!!!

You guys be strong, we all love you, I never want to hear anything like this again, if any of you want to talk just PM me, here to listen to you ALWAYS.
