*inter...that's the nicest pic you have posted imo...:flower:

and to answer your question...
from a professional point of view...
i can say that designer labels mean nothing if you don't 'understand' which pieces to buy and how to put them together well...
plenty of people dress in designer head to toe and manage to look very boring or like crap every day...
the label obviously doesn't guarantee that it looks any good...

style is about putting things together a certain way...
you don't need designer labels for that...;)
and TFS has historically been more focused on style...
we don't get hung up on the labels around here...;)

*not that there is anything wrong with it, just that it isn't the most important thing...

case in point...
in that pic pf me that seems to have caused ftb to have a minor meltdown...
i was wearing a leather jkt from banana republic-(bought on sale!!)
and a tank top from j crew...
:innocent:

MODS-perhaps you should start some sort of thread...or move such posts and comments over to the 'what is style' thread in an effort to keep this thread on a more positive and on topic route...
thanks....:flower:

...

Thanks, yesterday really was a blast, and the dress earned it's purpose.

Again, everyone looks good!
Tangerine, I really like your boots too!
And softgrey, the way you use black without it consuming you(if that makes sense) is very admirable!

black long sleeved tee

black boots

i'm thinking this thread is really going to start rocking now!!...:D

thanks faust, tangerine, susie, buckwheat, and fashionista.

Inter that's a very sexy look...needless to say you already know my stance on leg-baring outfits :innocent:

pigling very nice

softgrey i have come to the realization that what you said about labels and style is correct, especially evident in your outfit that I had a 'meltdown' over, looks better than anything I see on the designer-clad outfits on the streets of Hong Kong!

Thanks to Caffeine, Maraschin0, INTER, analog, tangerine
Pigling I love those lace up pirate boots. I also like your print dress too.
fourbolt Love those old Atari shirts.....especially in GREEN!
.francesca It IS very cute! As I predicted.
Buckwheat I love those dandy shoes and the way you paired them with jeans.
analog A very atmospheric pic and you already kno I love those MJ MJ's!
tangerine Simplicity at its best.
INTER Looking very pretty in that pic!
goosemaster Where have you been? I miss your pics.
maraschin0 Another person I miss here....where are your pics?
Baizilla Would love to have seen those shorts! ;)
Ida Those Ray Bans look great on you. I kno someone said you looked like Sienna Miller but actually, I think you look like Nina from The Cardigans. A very good look!
Softgrey I  those Marni trousers! I agree with you about the style thing. I wish I could afford more designer labels but I make do with what I've got and it's more fun to put things together this way.
Helena That ouftit sounds AMAZING. Especially the Dries top!

Topshop pink braided belt
Some peach/pink beads
Office navy suede pumps with embroidery.

susie : Looking good as always ^_^ I might not have a camera present, but i can show you how they look...
