I was wondering this as Im sure people must have different perceptions of what is medium, low and high. Seems a curious question to ask, even by my standards! :D

As far as I can think, anything including 4" and over is high (with anything over 5" being in the "avoid the stairs at all costs" range), anything between 3 and just under 4 being medium and anything under 3" being low.

Anyone agree or disagree?

I agree on that :D for normal people of course...

For me, 5'' is the perfect high, and the lowest is 4''... for me it's either a high heel or a flat, I hate those 3" 1/2 and crap like that :wacko:

and higher than 5" is considered "puta-wear" in my book :lol:

For me, a medium is 2-1/2 to 3 and a high is 3 to 3-3/4. I teeter in anything 4" or over. Is that because of my height (5'6") or is that a "practice makes perfect" thing?

1-2. low 2.5-3.5 medium and 4 + is high in my opinion :flower:
i think so too...5+ is just too high, and not good for your feet!

personally, for everyday wear i enjoy a 3"-3.5" chunky heel (with a round toe), like these at vivienne westwood and dior... the perfect and comfortable everyday heels for me, imo, especially if i have to do a lot of walking, which i usually do :wacko:

... but i also really like stilettos and i think 5" is the perfect stiletto height, and i would go higher (6" without a platform is the highest i can comfortably walk in though i wouldn't do it everyday)

I agree with everyone here.. and I also do not think, as some stores seem to, that .5" heels are "heels" in the respect that the word has come to mean...

Well, I confess my limit is 5" (on a size 10), and at that height I'd better not be in a hurry to get somewhere!

I am a flat-to-the-ground kind of person which is for everyday. Medium is 3" for me which would be for work or any day I have to wear heels. High is 5" for me and I would only wear them when I'm feelin' dangerous! :winkiss:

5" = high
4" = medium
below 4" = does not exist, might as well wear flats. :ninja:

Wow!! My answer makes me feel prudish, comparatively. You guys can definitely work a heel!

med = 3"
high = 4" - 5"
feeling the need to fall over = > 5"

nothing lower or flats (which I dislike) so i'm more or less always in heels.

Not many people here care for flat-to-the-ground flats. Why is that? I think they are cute. What about trainers. Everyone likes those right? Or are they not incorportated into the average person's wardrobe? Just a bit of questions.

Don't forget, this is a thread for shoe freaks, and I conclude most of us shoe freaks LOVE our heels. Heels take shoes to a new dimension, after all - literally!

I do. I wear either real flat or high, which is around 10 cm (4") for me. With flat shoes I enjoy the perfect natural walk and in high heels I enjoy walking on the ball and toes.
I don't like the medium range too. My feet can't decide to what mode of walking they should switch to and so it's uncomfortable. I can walk better in 10 cm than in 7 !
(All data for a EU-size 40 foot)

I think a 1-2.5 is low, greater than 2.5-3 is medium, anything abov three classified as high. I guess I have a strange definition compred to the rest of you, but that's how I see it.

How tall are all of you? I most often wear a 4" heel, but at 5'8" that makes me taller than a lot of the men I'm around, which is a bit weird.

I don't think that's weird. I like tall women who show their height with confidence, and especially when they are bigger than me..

So if you like your heels don't stop wearing them only because men are smaller than you!

It seems that there are many tall women who have a problem with that. Some even sell their nice shoes on *bay because of their new boyfriend then, which I find rather sad :cry:
