I searched for this and all I got was Costume National :p. (btw I'm not sure whether this should go into the Favourites section, but anyway..)
So I think it'll be great if everybody posted pictures of their country's national costume! I love seeing this..
I go to an international school and each year we have international evening, with international food and costumes. It's so interesting.

Anyway here's mine: Ukraine

And on the runway..the Jean Paul Gaultier collection, A/W 05. Jean Paul visited Ukraine and met the president's wife (who attended the show) and said that his collection was heavily inspired by the traditional Ukrainian costume. :flower:

aye-aye.

there is no national traditional costume in germany but there are a few regions where traditional costumes ("trachten") are still worn. the sorbs are a cultural minority living in the province that i was born and raised in so i had to learn about the sorbic costumes in primary school but i never understood the different meanings of their countless costumes. i guess it's a big secret for everyone not an insider.

here is a picture from wikipedia.
