I got blue contacts and i would like to know how to fo my make up so they look really nice=]

For blue to POP use any colour in the spectrum from champagne golden to bronzy orange
Why ? Because if you took a colour wheel orange/yellow with be opposite blue (eg it's complementary colour) :flower:

If the contacts are tealish blue you should choose bronzy orange leaning towards pink/rose.
Personally I also find bordeaux a great colour maybe because there's also some green in my eyes - and bordeaux brings it out.

I read the same thing about using the color wheel, but frankly, very few can get away with wearing an orangey-bronze eyeshadow. I think browns and of course the smokey black eye (for evening) really makes blue eyes pop!

I think that depends on your colouring - granted if you are very pale orangey-bronze eyeshadow might be too much and a warm golden-brown-bronze would be better.

I have blue eyes and I tend to wear blue/grey/bone cloured ee colours....the opposite colours to those you are supposed to wera. I have cool colouring so warm shades of bronze/browns/golds don't work on my skintone at all.

I find that I can actually warm up my colouring by using warm colours
I don't use colours that are very warm - no blatant oranges, burned sienna, mustard yellow or anything like that - but delicate warm colours like champagne golden, browns w. a hint of warmth on me looks far better than say a silvery blue or pink shimmer colour..

I use dusky plums and lilacs which are 'cold' and I stay away from greys as I find it dulls and drains me.

Hmm so many different takes on blue eyes.. I guess you better experiment fashiOnFul :flower:

I have blue eyes... I tend to wear bronzes, neutral beiges(for a natural look), grays and silvers look great, and sometimes I can even get away with mauve-ish pinks, etc.

Colors I use often:

Midnight Cowboy -- Urban decay

Shotgun -- Urban decay (goes on darker than this, these swatches stink)

mannequin -- lancome
when i just do a gray/silver thing with my eyes i just use these:

I think gold, pink and purple would be amazing.

Oh, and orange.. have you seen that really old video from chirtina aguilera? I think it was I turn to you... Anyway, she's wearing orange shadow and it just makes her blue eyes POP. If orange is too bright for you, I think a gold color would be amazing too.

I have blue eyes & and warm complexion, I find bronze & gold shimmery shades look really good

I have this double eyeshadow from Isadora in purple colors, it looks amazing with my bluegrey eyes.. And I put it on with a wet applicator for a more intense look :) Brown and golden tones don't look so good on me, I like the colder tones better, just try it out and see what looks best on yourself.

I have blue eyes, and fair skin. This is what really makes them POP... I will take a picture next time I do my eyes like this and post it ;)

- Lancome shadow in 'filigree' all over lids (up to eyebrows)

- Lancome shadow in 'vue' from eyelashes to crease

- Lancome shadow 'silver screen' used as eyeliner on the top and bottom (use a damp liner brush)

- Brown mascara

I used to wear grey and silver tones.. till I realized how boring it was. If you really want to feature your eyes you can't get caught up in the process of blending it all out or making it dark and moody.
I tend to wear a thick liner of Mac spring green with a champagnge shimmer cream on the lid and some long lash black mascara. If I want to feature my lips more I tend to use concealer to hide my flaws And a brown mascara.

Rich warm browns, warm taupes and soft peaches are perfect eyeshadow for blue eyes. For liner, you would use warm brown or taupe.

About the color wheel...

Complements are pairs of colors that are opposite each other on the color wheel. Many people sometimes mistake the word "complement" for the word "compliment," thinking that complementary colors are colors that go well together. Not so. The true meaning of the word complement is "to make complete" or "to perfect something." In color, complementary colors comlplete and pefect the central, fundamental role of the primary colors as the theoretical parents and progenitors of color. Any two complements contain the complete trio of promaries.

I find that bronzy colours work best. One eyeshadow that really makes my eyes pop is Mac Amber Lights. Its a gorgeous metallic colour.

Golden peachy-brown with golden shimmer... that's what the description on MAC is for that shade. So, that makes sense why it looks good with blue eyes! ;)

Definatly. All you blue eyed ladies should try it;)

I have blue eyes, and a consultant at Aveda once put lavendar shadow on me, which REALLY made my eyes pop. I never wear it though because I am a natural makeup kind of girl and tend to stick with browns. It really did look good though...maybe I will try it for New Years. :D
