What Skin Care Did You Use Today?

ReVive, SkinCeuticals and SK-II-all excellent brands, guessgirl.

I love ReVive's moisturizing renewal cream, their sensitif cream, their intensite volumizing serum, havent tried the new eye treatment but it sounds like you love it?

I went a bit 'cheap/lab rat' on my face today with my cleanser. I got the Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Super Power Foam Wash the other night because I like when it's sticky weather a foam cleanser that can be rinsed quickly (LOVE to death La Prairie Foam Cleanser but harder to remove) AND it said its good for reducing facial redness.

Anyway I applied a bunch of precleanse mixed in with with aveda's dry skin oil to precleanse, then the foam cleanser from neutrogena, some witch hazel to purify and exfoliate and for antiseptic after I did some extractions on nose, then Erno Laszlo toner, then Natura Bisse Top Ten Complex (their serums are ama-z-ing, miu_miu if you are reading this I never got back to you on a recommendation, try this, leaves skin glowing, in fact all NB products do), then used the last of my Dr.Sebagh Vitamin C powder mixed with my Creme Vital.

^ I will look into that, when I've read about it in the past it seemed more anti-aging? I think I am due an NB facial soon so I will ask ^_^

Spent all day in the sun yesterday  Didn't get burnt thanks to NB sunscreen but my skin feels a bit delicate..
Natura Bisse Sensitive cleanser
Darphin Intral Toner
Elemental Herbology Cell Food
Natura Bisse Eye Contour Cream
By Terry Serenite de Rose mask

Using beautiful products as usual! I think I am going to try (when my budget allows) to get back on almost ALL NB products, that Sensitive Cleansing Cream is a dessert for irritated, dry, just itchy-feeling skin. I also want the Senstive Mask, and the sensitive complex is really really nice as well. AND The Cure Cleanser, Cure Hydra-Gel Toner, and Cure Detoxyfying Cream. I bet there is also a mask.

I have been nonchalant about my skin lately, it's a lack of the winter, in summer I get lazy, yesterday I just wiped my face with some Erno Laszlo toner and applied some Cetaphil (:ogasp!) Hydrating Lotion...says on it for sensitive skin and fragrance/oilfree...but I look at ingredients and an ingredient I just found out that is in quite a few skin products that can be potentially pore-clogging is shea butter...that is sometimes in skin creams.

Anyway, I looove NB's concept, and that the Sensitive Cream has Antarctic Ocean Glycoproteins, holistic Aloe Vera, Marine Plankton, Red Algaer & Spirulina Algae. I was hesitant to purchase it at first though its touted for easily irritated skin because of the maine extracts..I was just living a skin nightmare from a la prairie toner/serum that was packed full of antioxidants and marine plankton and stuff from the sea, but they also added mineral oil and other cheap fragrances I didnt know about, so this Natura Bisse Sensitive Cream healed me right up! I've had it for a year now and the jar is only a quarter gone....another GREAT thing about their products, and I know you know this, miu_miu, is that they last for-ev-er! So the price, even though expensive to some, it is worth it because this brand WORKS, and you need very very little of the product to massage into skin, and results are quick and stay with maintenance of using them.

Anyway I'm like on speed, not really, just typing a million words a minute, and just chatty...Catch you guys later!

I absolutely love the eye cream, it's one of the very few products where I've seen a visible difference. It got rid of darkness and puffiness almost 100% in just about a month and there is a good amount of research behind the main ingredient, MPI. dr sebagh eye cream has this too although I havent tried it since I'm happy with the revive. I've tried the oil free sensitif and I did like it but at my age I think I'd benefit more from antioxidants than EGF so I replaced it with the skinceuticals phloretin cf. From what I've read the volumizing serum seems very good too, but the last thing I need right now since I have thick skin.

You really dont need both witch havel and a toner, most toners are made up largely of witch hazel. I go for quality over price with skincare but this is one area you can save. Actually, I dont think you even really need a toner or witch hazel. Most cleansers today dont leave residue behind like they have in the past, it's more of something skincare companies what you to believe. Although I do still like to keep some witch hazel around for the late nights when I'm too tired to wash my face.

Retin A Micro at night and another prescribed pill, even though I have very minimal acne, I went to derm to hopefully finally learn how to get rid of/maintain razor bumps and forehead bumps.

The Retin A Micro dries out my lips within a half an hour, but I just got these prescriptions on thursday, and my spots are nearly clear already, pretty good considering I thought I permanently damaged my skin by not knowing basic shaving things.

There's an amazing 'potion'/toner/astringent lotion that clears up shaving bumps and irritation within 24 hours. Do a search for Biologique Recherche under threads I have created, I would post link myself but I'm just about to pass out, but there are three different strengths and they are really really effective and actually work and taking redness out of your face and bringing the size of any razor bumps or irritation down at least 75% I'd say.

Biologique Recherche P50- comes in P50v for more sensitive dry skin and P50w for extremely dry/sensitized/mature skin. Glad to hear about the success with Retin-A but the dryness would bother me too much. This toner doesnt dry out the skin.

Thanks for the suggestion, what kind of shaver do you use? Electric or Blade? My Derm said since I have curly hair and kept going for a very close shave that that is the main reason why I have razor bumps, as well as bacteria from my blade, a couple days ago I bought a 90 dollar Norleco Electric shaver since my derm said not to buy a cheap electric shaver.

Curly hair causes more ingrown hairs and potential irritation when shaving it. I dont have curly hair, but I do have a thick beard that grows fairly fast and if I dont shave from my jawline down every 2-3 days when I do eventually shave I can get some leftover razor bumps because I have to keep going over it, but always shave WITH the hair growth. Dont shave against it, or go UP your face with a razor. Yes I use a blade. I tried an electronic, wasnt for me.
