I tend to be obsessed with a bag, wear it constantly then get obsessed with a new bag and leave my once beloved behind to gather dust. so I eventually end up with a lot of bags in cold storage, which makes me depressed (bags should be used and loved, not stored) so I sell them. but I am constantly buying bags cuz they're like my favorite thing ever so I end up with bags I've never used at all. am I crazy? do I need professional help??

^^

If that's the case, then people who post regularly in this section all need professional help :ninja:
Nope, I think you are perfectly normal. B)

I admit that I am very obessed with bags. I will scrimp on buying on clothes and other accessories, maybe even shoes, but I am willing to pay more for bags cos I feel that more expensive bags tend to be well made. But I think I have a good mix of mid-range to designer bags, what matters is that they appeal to me.

I go on bag sprees very often and take good care of all of them. I will use a new bag constantly, but then when I feel like changing my look, I can go back to my old bags again and see which one best complements the total package. (Or I may just buy another bag again..but I am on a 12-step programme to try stop it I swear...)

I am happy and very proud of my handbag collection. I think it's a personal and emotional thing to every bag-lover. To me, they are like my babies..and I rotate them constantly so that none would ever feel left out.

HA! I could say ditto to both of you. We are just finishing building a new home, I have a special little room, with separate temperature controls, shelves with glass doors.....Now, you should have seen how hard I had to explain that one to the hubby. I swear I am not crazy, but there are very few people that I would admit to having a special room just for by bags.

i have a bunk bed in my room.. i sleep on the top, and the bottom bunk is currently filled with all of my handbags (half of them i no longer use, and yet can't seem to willingly get rid of).

okay, that I have to see!

I also tend to skimp on clothing and shoes (somehow I just don't get that excited)...but I will only buy expensive well-made bags. I love my bags, they are my babies! ^_^

Shaymus,

Now you've GOT TO post pictures of this special room once it's complete. I'm totally salivating!!!!:buzz:

if anyone is in the mood, I would love to see your handbag collection!

I go through phases. A couple years ago, all I ever bought was bags. I spent ridiculous amounts of money in a very short period of time, but it has paid off, as now I have a whole bunch of bags that I love. I tend to switch fairly-frequently, but I do have my favorites. I normally use a bag most when I first get it, than I just use it when it works with what I am wearing and what I am doing.

so what do you spend ridiculous amounts of money on now?

I'm sure you all know how slow the building process can be....As soon as it is done I will post pics. Ha Ha, now I have other's just as anxious as me.

I am not a patient person when it comes to bags! Maybe I need a new hobby.

I also have my phases, I think it's a 2 year cycle:lol: A couple of years ago I was so obsessed with handbags, I bought the classics ( chanel, bottega, balenciaga, dior, prada (croc before the hype), mj) and many, many vintage clutches etc...After a while I started to concentrate on shoes (same story:innocent:) I think at the moment it's bags again and now I have all the classics I start to be more picky and only buy the bags I reaaaally care about ( f.e I first liked the paddington but I didn't like it in person so I didn't buy it, despite all the fuss). I'm now more into smaller bags like clutches etc..(if only for storage purposes ). Now I'm back in my handbagphase, I'm digging up and rediscovering my bags I bought years ago and never used which is quite fun :innocent:

That's me! On most days, my handbag is the most expensive item I'm wearing.
