Which Brands Have the Worst Quality?

i find that it pays to check the labels and see where things are made...
many companies have varying quality due to having things made in different factories around the world...
so i find that quality and even sizing can vary within one brand if they are not paying close attention during the production process...
this was not the case in earlier years, so 'vintage' tends to be more consistent in terms of sizing and quality...
most of my clothing from the eighties has held up while some things from more recent years from places like zara do not...
even a coat from zara in the 90's looks better than some zara pants from a couple of years ago...
this means that i usually take it item by item and assume nothing...

Not happy with Mytheresa.com's service for Saint Laurent Petit Cabas
I ended up buying Saint Laurent Petite Cabas bag in black from Mytheresa.com. The bag had a deep scratch on the metal base of the bag and some light scratches on the exterior leather. I emailed Mytheresa.com and arranged for an exchange of the bag which their customer service assured that another bag has been put aside for me to be exchanged.
I sent the bag back and get an email from Mytheresa this morning advising me that they have received the bag but they can no longer do an exchange for me. And if I want a new bag I will have to put in another order! That was it, no explanation as to why the bag was no longer available for exchange and to make matters worse, the bag is only available to me as a new order.
But I paid almost $400 in tax, duty and shipping and those aren't refundable!
I emailed Mytheresa.com and let them know that if they no longer can do an exchange then they should refund the whole amount including tax, duty and shipping because they are not standing by their word and policy. I could understand if the bag was no longer available in stock but if they have one for me to purchase as a new order, then they must have one available for exchange!! I am really disappointed by the service. Has anyone had similar experience? if so, did you get the tax, duty and shipping back? This is really poor service from Mytheresa.com. I went on the facebook to put in a complaint, no one has gotten back to me yet but it's early yet.
I hope they fix this bungle or refund me the whole amount. I find it unfair and incomprehensible that I should lose $400 because Mytheresa.com feels like it on a whim. Thanks for listening and let me know if you had similar experience.

Firetrap used to be great until they were bought out by sports direct. Now I'm not too sure, but I think might be using cheaper materials

Authentic Watches
I just wanted to give people a heads up on buying watches online as I got burned ....
I bought an expensive watch for my husband and thought I could get him a slighter nicer one for the same money online from the US.
The watch arrived and looked perfect and authentic. Reviews of Authentic Watches online are good.... for when the watch first arrives. After a few months it sounds like most stop working.
No problem they have a long warrantee.... I sent it to them in March and am still waiting for a response as to where the watch is!

I buy a lot from revolve clothing.I bought an NBD romper from them and I waited and waited to get it in the mail because they only had it available for pre order.when I got it I noticed a hole in the romper right smack in the middle of it.Clearly it was the designer who sold a faulty garmet to me and charged me full price.I was so mad even though they have such cute things because of that I stopped buying their stuff the brand lost a loyal customer.

when I checked Marni in store in real I was super disappointed buy price tag and polyester type material. cause I was obsessed wth marni before. I was also disappointed by burberry bags when I checked them in store.

^ Marni isn't really me, but I do have a sweater, which is very nice quality and totally unique as well. I thought the price was reasonable.

dries van noten isn't top notch pricing but still the quality often doesn't match up, sad, given that the designs are always great, but they really don't last very well.
carven is another one.
fall winter jackets are fine for me so far, but spring summer clothing's often almost rip apart after one season, and i take care of my clothes in general, dry clean and all that.
on the contrary, dsquared has pretty good quality, even t shirts i can simply throw into washing machine, dryer and they hold up pretty well.
margiela from before also.
carven is another one.

^ I can't remember anything of mine ever ripping apart after only one season! As in not in my whole life. The last thing I was disappointed in was an Elie Tahari sweatshirt T that pilled like mad.
I don't own much Dries ... just a pair of pants and a pair of shoes I think. The shoes have lasted very well, but the beads are finished in silver, which develops a patina--I'm sure that was deliberate. They're easy enough to polish on shoes if I want--wouldn't have been easy if I'd bought the silk scarf (more like impossible). The pants, I was a bit disappointed in the fabric because it wrinkles easily, but I bought them ~2008 and still have them. The fabric has lost some of its body.
I will say that I've noticed cost-cutting measures at Lanvin where materials are concerned. Their silk and lambskin both used to be absolutely luscious. Now silk blouses are hard to come by ... last I bought was rayon/acetate. And the lambskin is a completely different texture, not soft yet tough like it used to be. As of now, no longer a problem for me

My Alexander Wang Rockie bag is falling apart after 2 years. Not happy about that in the least. I checked their site and they have a 1 year warranty. 
Might need to resort back to Coach Bags and their lifetime warranty.

Dooney & Bourke used to have a lifetime warranty ... which amounted to 50% off your next bag, wallet, etc. Not a bad deal ... too bad they're not more exciting.

I noticed the same. The designs are often great but the quality isn't top notch unfortunately.

As a contrast, I've had this same-priced cotton cardigan from H&M for five years now and it still looks like new after countless wears and washes - even though a lot of people have complained about H&M's quality. So I guess it really depends on what you're buying and not so much the brand itself.
