Christina Aguilera is expected to announced some very big news in three days — Tuesday, March 23 @ 12PM EST.

There’s a countdown to the big news on her official website, ChristinaAguilera.com.

The new artwork displayed on her placeholder site seems to be the new direction for Christina’s new music. It looks a little inspired by robotics, mechanics and A Clockwork Orange. Remember Christina dressed up as Clockwork’s Alex for her 28th birthday?

christina can sing but she's a little desperate. there's no consistency in her image and it comes off imo as trying too hard. she molds herself to fit the trend i suppose. britney may be a joke to some but she's a pop icon and simply just an entertainer and doesn't try to be anything other than that cough gaga cough

well if it really is christina i bet she's paying major bucks to people to think for her, she tends to "follow" the trend. remember when she tried to win in latina society by selling her aguilera and failed? and when she go britney and she failed again?

Her Spanish CD sold over 500,000 copies (HUGE numbers for any Latin artist) and stayed Number 1 on the Latin Chart for 19 weeks ( She holds the record for most weeks at Number 1 on the Latin Album Chart in Billboard). She also won a Latin Grammy for it. She became a phenomenon on all Latin-American countries. Her Spanish effort was well received by critics. How is it a fail? Also during her debut she sold 16 Million records. Of the 4 singles released from that album 3 went to Number 1 on Billboard, the other at 3. Not to mention she won Best New Artist at the Grammys that year beating out Britney. Christina doesn't care for trends, she does what she wants to do. I remember the Stripped era setting trends, until now the other gerls are trying to replicate that album. When she did Stripped no one else at that time was doing the trashy avant garde look, she was the only one doing it and now look at the impact she has made. During Back to Basics everybody was doing Timberland, but Christina went back to the 20s 30s 40s as inspiration for her music and look. Now who is following trends? Nobody payed attention to Gaga until Christina was accused of copying her, which was false of course. Now your chit before you say your blah blah blah.

Except that she spoke about the futuristic route of her next record since 2007. This album was supposed to be released Last year summer but then the shooting of her movie came so it was delayed.


Also, futuristic avant-garde concept was done by Kylie almost a decade ago way before Gaga and Beyonce.

Really? Butt of jokes? I only remember all the accolades and praise she received from critics and her peers alike during her last era. Want me to name them all? Maybe not, I wouldn't be done in a day. As for the butt of jokes, you may have mistaken her for the other gerls. No need to name names. lol

That's precisely my point . It was beyond old by the time Lady Gaga and Beyoncé popularized so it's definitely old now by the time she gets it out . Another thing, perhaps Aguilera speaks of her influences too much and too soon ?
