X-girl - made in japan?

I stumbled on this sale event in LA this friday at the X-girl store.


my question is- does anyone know if x-girl is all made in japan? i heard their new contemporary line xgla is not. can anyone confirm this since i hear the line is big out in asia. i'm going to try to pick up a gift for a fan...

yeah i guess almost half of the clothes out there are made in china... does it really matter to anyone anymore where clothes are made? does having a "made in italy" label have the kind of power it once had? probably the cost to manufacture in china, the growing quality, is too irresistable for companies.

i only consider these things because my friend prefers "made in japan" clothes.

i believe we have a thread somewhere discussing where clothes are made and peoples' preferences...you might want to try a search...
it might be in the designers and collections area...not sure...

^^Yes, it is a Japanese brand. Not sure where it's made though. But the design team are based in Japan. It's kind of like a streetwear brand that's quite popular in Asia (well, Hong Kong anyways!).

Some of the stuff is quite cute but very overpriced for what it is....I think I have a few skirts and tops lying around my wardrobe in Hong Kong.

thanks softgrey, i'll check the section. knowing where my clothing comes from is really starting to peak my interest too. maybe it's why there are so many vintage fashion fans. it gives a sense of the origin of style? a connection to the past, something more rooted than current style.

i loved those x-girl logo tops and a line skirts that they made the first year...
