Yasser Arafat Dies At 75

Maybe some appologies should be made as well, so that we can consider this incident over ... :innocent:

That was a great struck of humour, CelineChic!  Let's keep it civil from now on, OK?

I'm always civil but misunderstood ;)

Well, hey everyone seems to be doing it (suing) for logical and legitimate reasons  so one day I just might get up on the sue bandwagon to court and keep saying to myself that hopefully I'll get some money

Ok, I'll apologize, and hopefully I won't be the only one...

Apologise should be made when someone purposely hurts another. No one did anything of that sort. We simply debated.

Did President Bush and Senator Kerry apologize to each other after the elections? I dont think so.

IN any case I dont need any apologise because I was never hurt and I haven't taken offence to anything. I simply stated some facts and backed up my and many people's opinions, right? :flower:

Huh, , nevermind I now understood what you said earlier but I meant what I said about the checking yourself part and not threatning anyone, i wish you could've seen that, but of course, this is not the first time where my words have been misinterpreted and looked as if I was the bad guy here on this site :innocent:

I probably shouldn't have stooped to that level, but do keep in mind softie, that you also got similarly worked up over the topic of the election. We all have our little issues that get us going, the important thing is to realize when to stop.

And I'm sorry for picking on you Celine Chic, it really wasn't fair of me.

What a waste of a thread.
No one won this argument, at best, everyones a loser.
As much as I am inclined towards CelineChics point of veiw (having actually studied zionist history), personal attacks just made this an incident, not a debate.
If this is what is happening on a fashion forum, no wonder there is war in Palestine.
Rest In Peace Monsier Arafat.

20 gunmen broke into a mourning tent and killed two people during the funeral. :o

you took the words right out of my mouth... :flower:

I'm not joining the argument.... I'm reporting the news, the original purpose of this thread.

The thousands of mourners who spilled over the Mukata's walls to peek at history roared as one when the Egyptian military helicopters bearing Arafat's coffin and his entourage thundered over the compound, circling the throng once before diving downward.

The choppers' blades kicked up sheets of dust which carried with them hundreds of Arafat posters.

At first, Palestinian police and soldiers fired off entire magazines in an attempt to keep the mourners from enveloping the helicopters. Then they seemed to do it for the celebratory effect.
Masked gunmen joined in the manic gunfire, which only ceased two hours later.

Palestinian officials later said that nine people were wounded, one critically, from the gunfire. Hundreds more were treated for various injuries, including falling off walls, trampling, and dehydration – aggravated by a blazing sun and the widely-observed Ramadan fast.

This was all that I could find, from the Jerusalem Post.

they are all crazy... but after seeing that "funeral" i am sorry...nuts... they are wackjobs... it is a bad situation but i see a difference in bombing for retaliation and strapping bombs and blowing themselves up in markets, buses....

"The Holy Prophet Mohammed came into this world and taught us: 'That man is a Muslim who never hurts anyone by word or deed, but who works for the benefit and happiness of God's creatures. Belief in God is to love one's fellow men.'"
