Yohji sizing

Would someone please explain to me how Yohji women's sizing works.
Is 1 a US4, FR36
2 a US6, FR38
3 a US8, FR40

I think men's/women's sizes are 1=XS, 2=S, 3=M and so on?

Jill I think that you are about right, but I would think it should be a little larger, i.e.
1 a US4-6, FR36-38
2 a US6-8, FR38-40
3 a US8-10, FR40-42

It really depends on the garment itself as some of Yohji's items can be cut quite generously.

The sizing charts from Pollyanna should be pretty accurate, as they are for the men's from my experience.

I've wondered, especially with the shoes... I've seen them listed as sizes 1-6, and just managed to place the smallest at a 5 American by use of common sense(?). But I have little faith in my abilities, and I'm still questioning the matter...

I would add that Yohji's many clothes are cut away from the body, so they feel even bigger than the size indicated.

^ Yes, but some of the styles are fitted. I recently bought a blazer which is a bit military-inspired, and it is a "true" size 2/S/46.
