Can't believe we have a thread on this yet, it's so beautiful...

Yohji Yamamoto's shows are unparalleled in Paris—if for no other reason than for their echt Yohji-ness. The cavalcade of boys and men (Yamamoto insists, against conventional fashion wisdom, on casting both) floating down the runway in their billowing culottes; long, almost tuniclike white shirts; and patchwork-piece jackets struck a poignant note. His play with large volumes called to mind both traditional ethnic garb and street wear, reminding you how much the expressive bagginess favored by the new generation of street-style blog courters owes to the designer (even if, alas, they don't all know they're quoting him). Seen one after the other after the other, those enormous culottes, often rippled with pleats, and alternated with ultrawide cropped pants, resounded like a sartorial gong. (The music, for what it's worth, was peppy Asian pop.) It didn't sound like much else going on in Paris this week, but it rang in your ears a bit—and Pied Piper-ishly, it seemed to call droves of Yohji faithful to huddle and wait on the tiny street outside.

I'm amazed by the volumes and the palette, it's quite ..ceremonial, I hope he incorporates this into womenswear, although his women's show very rarely follow a sequence with his menswear.

Yes-- Ceremonial. And a modern and relaxed elegance. I love Yohji's generosity: Young and old, models next to larger gentlemen, and men of different ethnicities. Yet it's never contrived or gimmicky, and remains distinctively Yohji, and wearable.

One of the best collections of the season. Love.

^exquisite!!!!! I was so worried about trying to pull off a skirt after seeing the Rick Owens show (The tube silhouette just won't work), thank God for master Yohji  the pleated palazzo option is such a great alternative and very much like all the CDG ones. I'm dreaming of those, esp the ones with suspended pleated panels wrapped around the legs . The rest is just classic Yohji, effortless, charming, witty and utterly elegant.

Thank you for posting, Mullet :flower:

I just cant stop looking at the pants/bottoms. I just cat take my eyes off those! Every single one of them!

I like the splashes of color on the collection .. but the pants! OMG!

My favorite mens collection so far! The color scheme is just perfect with the addition of bright colors such as apple green, blue and red! Using various types of model is nothing but emerging the whole concept and his eccentric style, really distinctive and joyful. Have to admit that Yohji's mens line is much interesting than his women's line.

Love those full trousers, definetely style-defying.

I once did a long collar like the one of the green shirt, and they told me I was crazy

wonderful collection! instantly one of my most favorite yohji mens shows ever!!!

i can't stop looking it since the pics came out!

I love this collection. Yohji is defantly one of my favourite designers. I cant stop looking at the cuts and drapes of the fabric. I love how hes used a totaly random mix of models old/young/fat/skinny perfections

This collection actually tells a story, for me. I don't think any other collection has done that this season.
