Your Best & Worst Collections of F/W 2025.26

This is way too easy: Skipping new York and London I go straight to Milan and Fendi(!!!) luxurious, great cast, great everything.. This is what we deserve to see. This is my personal highlight of all the shows .
And was better than Prada was Miu Miu cause Raf wasn't involved.
And also big heart to YSL.
Worst: Prada, Versace, Chanel, Alexander McQueen (the legacy is being destroyed) and of course Balenciaga

Designwise:
All the Japanese, with CDG on top
Giorgio Armani
Schiaparelli
Dries van Noten

Fashion shows (collection, models, set and music as a whole )
Tom Ford
Hermès
Acne Studios
McQueen
Saint Laurent
Khaite

Can I add?

I also enjoyed
Carolina Herrera, Oscar de la Renta, Altuzarra, Jason Wu, Erdem, Jil Sander, Ferragamo, Fendi, Courreges, Chloé, Dolce & Gabbana, Uma Wang, Cardin

If Lanvin counts, it is amongst my favourites

Worst:
Kenzo
Balenciaga
Prada
Dior
Chanel

For me it was another lackluster season mostly, but I enjoyed :
- Loewe
- Tom Ford
- Schiaparelli
- Fendi
- Giorgio Armani

It was a great season tbh.
Best: Fendi, Tom Ford
Good: Issey Miyake, Louis Vuitton, Junya Watanabe
Worst: Nina Ricci, Rochas, Chanel, Balenciaga, Coperni, Kenzo

Instead of best/worst, I only have few shows in mind for various reasons and the rest completely out of my brain…

Here it is :
Fendi
Tom Ford
LV
Loewe
Duran Latino
Givenchy

Given the number of shows, it is quite sad I would say.

This season was ok-ish. I think the one in September will be much more interesting.

I wouldn't say it was a weak season.

I think Paris was strong, and NY, London and Milano had interesting things.

But:
I had the impression that Milano is running out of steam. I felt always that the fashion calendar was a crescendo, finishing with Milano and the Paris apotheosis.
And now I see Milano almost on the same level like NY and London. No way Milano can compete with Paris.

And I am still surprised that the leading houses of 15 years ago, with the most beautiful heritages, are delivering sistematically the worst collections: Chanel, Dior, Balenciaga, Prada, Gucci.

My top ten shows of the season -
1- Tom Ford
2- Undercover
3- Duran Lantink
4- Burberry
5- Givenchy
6- Louis Vuitton
7- Schiaparelli
8- Valentino
9- Tod's
10- Marc Jacobs

Hmmmm tough season to dissect. I appreciate that there seems to be more designers pushing against the wave of Philo clones and "quiet luxury", and there were some good debuts, too.

Best
- Miu Miu (much less "logo crazy" as their collections had been lately, I loved the color palette and the casting too).
- Ann Demeulemeester (I dunno if this is a controversial opinion but I thought it was beautiful! Densely layered, romantic, reminded me of her late aughts collections like S/S 07 or F/W 08).
- Chloé (after a bumpy spring collection, this one really sold me on her work for the house! Amazing color palette, lovely shapes, and just something I would see myself wearing).
- Tom Ford (alright alright, this collection grew on me! I loved the coldness of it all, and I'm excited to see where he goes with the house).
- Ferrari (can't believe this is on my "best" list, considering how awful their last collections were! Rich, lavish, and the right touch of bad taste).
-Missoni (obsessed with the silhouettes, the color palette, and the late 2000's of it all! I'd wear every outfit).
- Fendi (it doesn't get better than this! The shapes, the fabrics and furs, it was all so desirable. I'm glad grown up fashion is making a comeback).

Worst
- Saint Laurent (tbh one of the first times I didn't like his collection, S/S was much better).
- Balenciaga (just another blah collection of crappy streetwear from the worst designer of this generation. I'm extremely nervous for Gucci).
- Valentino (woof, exhausting to watch, hated the set, and the collection was still an incoherent mess. This man just can't tell a flushed out story, it's always a disjointed mess).
- Givenchy (tbh I was trying to get hyped for her debut, but it's a real letdown. Dated tailoring, weird streetwear influences, and overall just nothing to write home about).
- Balmain (much more somber than his usual outings, and somehow all the worse for it. That look with the yellow pleated dress and black stirrup leggings was one of the most vile looks I've ever seen).
- Moschino (one of the most joyless collections I've ever seen. Like a funeral procession of bad taste).
- Jil Sander (woof, what a horrible show. Bad fabrics, bad color palette, tbh their collections weren't always so bad but this was an awful way to end their tenure).
