Your dream car

What is your dream car?

I haven't dreamed of cars in a very long time. The last dream of a car I had was after I dropped out of college the first time. The dream car would only go in reverse, no matter my driving finesse, and it caused me some anxiety. My next dream of cars was when I was awake. About ten years ago I was was waiting for the 28 bus at Geary and Park Presidio, watching the traffic pass, when I was suddenly very aware that I would outlive the internal combustion engine. This caused me no anxiety. That is the last communication I received from the Automotive Spirit. I do not feel bereft of guidance; a different vehicle is needed.

I have fasted and prayed for a new vision: this is the only image that comes up:

I adore antique Jaguars..^_^

Lucid car dream details

Actually, the horses weren't yoked to the Escalade, they were harnessed. It's hard to get the proper equine shoulder traction from a yoke. Now, in the Lexus LS dream I had, that was certainly an escaped Niman Ranch Black Angus bull and it was definitely yoked.

Back to my Escalade/Percheron/Diddy dream. Last night, I put myself in a lucid visionary state using magical passes I learned from a Carlos Castaneda book. It was important I looked under the hood of the Escalade to see what lay there: in place of the cylinder block I found a haversack of oats and a case of Cristal. Fuels of the future.

I love Bimmers, it's high-time I had one.

I used to like Range Rovers until they ended up being in music videos, etc.
I'd probaly go with an LR3 these days, but I'd rather live in a place where I didn;t need a car. Seems more interesting not having to drive...

^feel the exact same way about Range Rovers. I love the previous model because it was/is below the radar of such gaudyness. I like the way the LR3 looks but I don't know that I could handle such a top heavy car...

More Car Dreams

It was of a white Escalade yoked to a team of Percherons. P. Diddy was driving the horses in that nice white suit he's always wearing. I'm thinking I'm gonna have to act it out like Black Elk's dream so as to mend the Sacred Automotive Hoop. I bet it's hard to keep a suit white when you're driving heavy draft horses.

Ever since Cash-for-Clunkers, it's like my dip into the car collective unconscious has all but dried up. I don't know if I'll ever dream of cars again. The clunker folks probably managed to grab & junk every AMC Gremlin left in the wild, which is probably a good thing, unless you find yourself dreaming of one. Which, blissfully, I do not.

It's been three years since I've commented on my dreaming of cars, and looks like a few years ago Bob Dylan went and had the same dream, but of himself in a black suit in a black Escalade and no horses. Which is pretty much the opposite of Puff Daddy in a white suit steering a white Escalade driven by two Percherons, but for the saving the Sacred Hoop, I guess we'll have to make do.

Well, surrender is the name of the game. Just ask Black Elk or Bing Crosby.
